GM Draft contest (1 Viewer)

I'd like to try a draft like we're GM's in the NFL.

Don't sign up for this contest unless your on FBG daily.

The first 9 other teams to apply will be in along with me.

The rules:

You have to Draft a 25 man roster.

You must draft 12 offensive players and 12 defensive players and 1 extra guy that can be on Off or Def.

You need to fill a starting line-up on both sides of the ball.

Your team will be graded on 1 thing. How the experts rank your team as far as your standings if you competed against all the other teams in real games.(not fantasy points)

24 of players that you pick must be playing in the NFL today. 1 other player may be picked no matter when he played. All players chosen must be graded by the experts as if they were in their prime.

Ability is the only thing being graded on the players. We are assuming it's their best year and they didn't get hurt, get in trouble, holdout etc...

You may not edit a post during the draft. Any edited post drafting a player will be forfeited and you will only be allowed to replace players after the draft is finished in order of the forfeit.

You'll post your line-ups after everyone has drafted.

You may change any players position, for instance you could make a guy that plays RG a LG if you want or even a QB, but keep in mind the experts need to be convinced he could be great at the other position.

You can draft your 1 all-time player in any round

Your team is Graded on Offense and Defense. Special Teams do not apply.

Draft order will be determined by the last digit of the points scored by the Browns in week 4. (IE if the Browns score 19 points team 9 will draft first and team 0 will go second.) I'm team 0. Everyone else's team number will be the order that they apply.

You have 24 hours after the last pick to make your pick. After 24 hours, the next teams in line may make their picks until you finally make yours.(Minnesota fans pay attention!)

It will be a serpentine draft. If you have back to back picks and miss the 24 hour deadline The next teams in line may pick before both of your picks without waiting another 24 hours.

Everyone in the contest will pick their own expert. I hope that all of you try to pick someone with alot of football knowledge that you think will be impartial. In that respect I'm gonna ask Chase Stuart to be my expert first.(Obviously he might want to play or not want to do it so I'll ask someone else if that's the case.)

You don't have to pick your expert until after the draft, but I'd start asking right away to see who would do it.

Your expert will grade every team except yours. All rankings will be added together and divided by 9. Lowest ranking wins the first stage.

After you draft, every team will be given an opportunity to post their team's offensive and defensive philosophies. substitutions, secret plays or whatever else they want to show their intentions. What you can't post is player statistics or rankings. Let the experts figure out what your players are worth on their own. The experts will not post their rankings until everyone explains their intentions.

Every expert that posts in stage one must state why the ranked every team the way they did.

When the second stage starts you get 1 week to argue with the experts all you want, you can post as many times as you want and then may use stats and rankings to argue your point. You must post your own argument thread and link to it in the contest thread to keep the contest thread clean! After the week is over, the experts will then change their rankings as they wish and stage 1 will be added to stage 2 to determine a champ. If anything comes up that is not covered by the rules a decision will be made by vote of all the experts in the contest. If the results of the vote is a tie, it will be broken by the first paid FBG employee to post a ruling in the thread that is not a contestant or expert.

I hope this isn't too complicated and everyone have fun. This contest should keep us busy for a couple of months at least. :football:
