GM's Thread About Everything/GM's Thread About Nothing (13 Viewers)

Seminal? Is that the word I want?
:oldunsure: Uh, if you insist . . .

Maybe "paramount," "superlative," "consummate" or just "ultimate" without the pe(e)n.
sem·i·nal
ˈsemənl/
adjective

  1. 1.
(of a work, event, moment, or figure) strongly influencing later developments.
"his seminal work on chaos theory"
synonyms: influential, formative, groundbreaking, pioneering, original, innovative;More
Oh, it definitely applies . . . just wasn't sure you wanted to use "seminal," get it, get it, huh-uh, hence the use of the unsure emoticon
GM doesn't have to worry anymore, he can no longer have a seminal affect on anything.
Now you people are just ####### with me.

Your not a fan of object humor?

Our previously scheduled trip to San Francisco was delayed until next week. Redmond, could you remind me of the two upscale Vietnamese places you recommended?

Also, I'm looking at Yank Sing for dim sum but am open to suggestions for that, too.

I'm going to Denver tomorrow.

I cornholed with guster, guster gf, ACP, and ACP wife this weekend.

Yesterday I saw an email signature from a newly married woman, and the signature had her new name, "formally known as" her old name.

The other day I got a letter from a lawyer explaining a "scribner's" error. "Scribner" was repeated several times in the letter. Bartleby, the Scribner.

Noted
all are actually true, btw

I may have to call it quits.
1. Sheik went through some sort of odd transformation over the last 10 years that is completely unexplainable. I hope this is just some sort of weird shtick, but honestly, he's not the same funny, cool guy he was in 2003.

2. Tim considers "Blinded by the Light" to be one of rock's penultimate tunes.

3. Consider the sources.

4. ????

5. Profit.
Edit - **** comment already taken.

I have a one hour flight from Midland to Dallas and two SW drink tickets that expire next week remaining. Party on the plane.

EXACTLY

Thanks for affectively spelling this out, for all intensive purposes

D

Enjoyed Truck's picture at Disneyland. :lmao:

A bigger smile I've never seen faked before in all my life.
I guess you weren't in front of a mirror when you first heard about twins.
I'm guessing you never saw this photo of my initial reaction?
:lmao: What kind of dog is that?
Kinda blurry but looks like a Pomeranian
Pug maybe?

I feel like I could do pretty well on a test where I had to identify dog breeds by picture...not sure that's really a valuable life skill though

Komondor vs Puli might trip me up

If only there was some way for me to profit from being a judgmental tool.
Don't you already? Plus, SUMMERS OFF!

Slanted Door?

eta: That's the real name of the place, not making a racist joke.

 Yep, that was one of them. Looks so damn good. That was the one I remember liking better when I looked at them before. Thanks!

I was there once and it was really great. The other place I always recommend is Burma Superstar. It's out from the financial a ways so you need to take a car, and there are no reservations, but man it's amazing.

I've also been to Yank Sing once (again, not being racist, that's the actual name), but dim sum is not my bag so I can't really comment. The whole model of them just rolling a bunch of #### out to you and then charging you for all of it seems...scammy? I guess you have to have an expectation that you're not going to get away cheap there.

Slanted Door is definitely one that I recommended. It is excellent, though quite pricey.

I don't recall what else I mentioned, but it may have been Thanh Long, which is in the Outer Sunset district. Also pricey, though less so than Slanted Door.

Bun Mee is a Vietnamese sandwich shop on Market in the Financial District. Quite good for lunch.

Fresh Rolls is a quick service place where they make spring rolls and Banh Mi sandwiches to your specifications, sorta like Subway sandwiches, except they aren't horrible and as far as I know they don't employ any pederasts as spokespeople. It is located on 4th just on the SOMA side of Market Street.

Movie theater next to my hotel is showing all 3 Back to the Future movies in a row tonight.
I know its the "internet" thing right now but those movies are pretty terrible.
They took things too far with 2 and 3 but the original was fun. I'd like to see it again; I don't think I'd go to a theater for it but it's nice that a lot of people want to.

Elle King is solid. Janis Joplin echoes there.

bvwih. Shooter McGavin will rip out your throat.

Only in the world of reality television does a wife discover her husband is nearly dead in a whorehouse and go, "Well, we can't get divorced now."

Lots of excitement for the smallest cat in our house as he was running around, tossing something in the air and then chasing after it. Went to see what was going on and found he's playing with a Brussels sprout. Cats are dumb.

Hey Truck - just received this via PM

Was directed to you in the Torrents thread -- freshon.tv shutdown and I'm left homeless. That's after TvTorrents shut down and I was left homeless there too.Know of a good replacement?

Thanks.
I truly hope you lop off three of your fingers in a freak kitchen accident.
