Got the tickets back. Enjoyed the envelope addressed to a Tom Something Forrest. Also, mad props to the artist.
Tom Bradford. It was an Eight is Enough joke. Ask Tanner what that is.

The art was my friend Jane's daughter, who drew that for me a couple of weeks ago. They live in NY so she'll never know I don't have it anymore.

:lmao:

It's not often that you learn of someone being hot by listening to NPR, but a couple of days ago I heard an analysis of the Canadian elections that said Justin Trudeau could have a problem with being so incredibly handsome. Forgot about it until reading this morning of his landslide victory, and then decided to look him up.

Good lord, he's hot.
Looks like the ******* love-child of Joe Namath and Pete Townshend.
:lmao: Townshend and Phil Hellmuth, IMO.

I went with two celebrities.

F, Marry, Kill: Obama, Trudeau, Mexican PM Nieto.

Nieto is not a bridge troll, from what I can tell.
Had to look Nieto up. He's pretty good-looking, too. Sorry, Obama.
Perfect dance partner for Thorn.

YOU GUYS ARE BOTH SHORT

Or you both dig swing dancing. Either/or.

Yeah, I think I'm over my allotment of short jokes on Thorn. Sorry GB. Feel free to make any pale jokes or jokes about me looking like an out of shape Jim Gaffigan.

So.....the guys in the Star Wars thread are just....guessing at the plot? They can't wait a few weeks to go see the movie, they need to theorize what might happen?

My 7 year old is turning into a banker. She bought 2 stuffed animals for $5 each, one for her and one for her younger sister. The younger one comes up to me...

Emma: Dad, can I have 5 dollars?

Me: Why?

Emma: I have to pay Grace back. She bought me a toy.

Me: What about your money? You don't have $5?

Emma: No.

Me: Why?

Emma: I gave all my money to Grace last week.

Grace (from the other room): And she'll get it back when she pays me the $5 plus interest!

Me: Grace, give Emma all her money back, -$5 she owes you. Why do you have all her money?

Grace: She gave it to me for safe keeping. That's what interest is for - paying for someone to keep your money safe. I tried to explain that to Emma but she's only in kindergarten.

Me: how much is the interest?

Grace: $1 per day.

Nerds gonna nerd. Grown-### men too.
Just making sure that that is what I'm seeing in there. Maybe some of the guys read the book or something.
I believe there are all kinds of books (haven't read), not sure if they cover the same material as the movies or not though.

Yeah, I read a Star Wars book in HS. It was pretty awful. Something about Wookies being so intelligent that despite speaking the same language as everybody else in the universe, their fancy dialect makes it impossible for the mortals (except for Han) to understand.

Seems like it'd be more fun if you just went and enjoyed (or not) the movie without dissecting the #### out of it, but what do I know.
Amazingly, this is what I do. I have never felt the need to be "spoilered" about anything; more fun just to go, you know, watch it.

I accidentally saw spoilers for one season of Survivor, basically the complete boot list in order, those spoilers turned out to be correct, and the season was boring as a result.
