GM's Thread About Everything/GM's Thread About Nothing (14 Viewers)

I got knocked out of FBG contest this week. I don't think I ever made it past Week 8 before so it was a run.

Is there a bigger nerd fest in all the internets than the Subscriber Contest thread in the SP? that quizguy is absolutely obsessed with it.

I didn't know one existed. Dare I wander in?

Oh good lord, just read this in Art Cashin's daily newsletter. I'm oddly intrigued by this:

White Castle Stuffing -
The original recipe for “White Castle Stuffing” was sent to me by my friend, Steve Leuthold and his team in Minneapolis. Another friend, Bo O’Connell modified it for the East Coast taste. It’s actually quite tasty and tends to spur conversations and memories around the table.

Here is Bo’s version of White Castle Thanksgiving Stuffing:

First things first, go to White Castle on Wednesday night around 8:00 p.m. Pick up two crave cases of Hamburgers (makes two trays) Put crave cases in fridge and we’ll start in the morning.
30 White Castle Hamburgers – Pickle Removed
1 ½ cups diced celery
1 teaspoon ground sage
1 teaspoon ground thyme
¼ teaspoon coarse ground pepper
¾ cup chicken broth

I like to quarter burgers with a knife rather than tearing. Put into a large mixing bowl. Add celery and sprinkle seasonings than mix. Add broth and mix again. Put in tines. Slide in oven and warm to liking.

:lmao:

It's recipes like this that reaffirm my belief that we've been smoking marijuana in this country for a long long long long time.

Realsports with Bryant Gumble just had a good piece on about African elephants and how they are being poached to death. 1.5 million elephants in 1979, 400k today. Elephants are among the most sensitive and intelligent creatures, this just makes me sick.

Then we have these dumb American hunters over there thinking their some kind of ### #### hero because they shoot an elephant at 50 feet with a bazooka.

Humans are ####### awful.

This is news to you? Figured you had many more examples of this personally DD.

Shooting an elephant is ####ed up. It's like shooting a dolphin, killer whale, or gorilla. These are some of the smartest animals on earth

86% of Americans disapprove of big game hunting, yet we have these heroes out there waking up elephants from a sleep and then shooting them. Because that makes you a bad ### in moron circles I guess.

Husband and kids leaving town to go to my in-laws' for Thanksgiving.
