GM's thread about nothing (23 Viewers)

I wonder whether this thread has led to a reduction in crime in the FFA society, like some kind of online after-school diversion program. Seems the prime offenders are all occupied in here... Joe should embrace this thread.

There's a show coming on Discovery Health right now called 100 Orgasms A Day. :goodposting:
If KY isn't sponsoring that show, their marketing director needs to be fired.
Regrettably, not even close. It was about a condition called Persistent Sexual Arousal Disorder. It is a real monkey wrench in the lives of its victims, all of whom are female. Of course. If they were male, it would be That Dead Guy There in the Corner Syndrome.

Since my B-12 is low, I take an Ambien every night (B-12 regulates melatonin). Anyway, I remember getting up around 12:30ish/1:00ish to go tinkle and while tinkling I got a case of the hiccups. I vaguely remember going back to bed yet my hiccups persisted so I decided to get up as I did not want to disturb DaVinci. While up, I guess I decided to cook and clean - I made cinnamon rolls and the cream cheese frosting, sloppy joes, enchiladas, spanish rice and mild summer sausage with diced up summer vegetable (tomatoes, zucchini, yellow squash and onions) with pasta. Then I kind of remember I cleaned the kitchen, the kitchen floor, ran the dishwasher and decided to wash all the kitchen rugs (by the sink and the garage door). Weird night...

Mrs D: I've got a bottle full of ambien and my house is a pigsty. Holla.

That too...out of the blue vacuuming always leads to bad Honey-Do lists. Pretty sure SLB should have invested in maid service named Crystal.
I like this idea.Mrs. SLB was playing Family Feud on Facebook yesterday and the fast money question was "Things wives nag their husband about." She couldn't think of anything. :(

Hey GM, check out my Twinkie.

Remind me to get some Ambien for Mrs. TF

Other than the very obvious answers that I feel sure this crowd could provide, what can a gal do to put her BF in a better mood? He's in a funk right now, slamming doors and being very curt (since about 9:00 a.m.). I've asked if he wanted to talk about it and his response was "I'm just not a very happy person right now [/conversation]"

I truly don't think I've done anything - we're pretty good about communicating - but it's always a possibility.

Things your wife/SO/sister/mother/daughter/sugar mama/7th grade history student has ever done?

I either help to fix it or go to the office today, because this is brutal.

I would just get out of the house for the day.

Maybe thats why he's salty

I'm watching the Royals/Yankee game and they just showed a replay of George Brett's reaction in the pine tar game where he comes flying out of the dugout to yell at the Umpires. First thing that popped into my head was that if they made a movie of it, Mel Gibson would be perfect for that role.

Everytime I see that, I always wish someone would call Brett's bluff and not seperate him from the Ump. Would he have laid a beating on the Ump, or, like my dog did when she finally cornered a squirrel, not know what to do?

What's wrong with the obvious answers?

Watching this game too115 degrees on the fieldPaul O'Neill & friends get milkshakes on demand in the air conditioned boothI just discovered this week that I'm getting the one hi def MLB Extra Innings channel, for free. None of the others, just this one, but that's pretty awesome. Wish I had figured this out 3 months ago, there would have been a lot less Jim Riggleman in my life.Nice day of beer, baseball, AC and peace & quiet today. #### leaving the house.

Punch him in the face.

For the 4th biggest city in the country, there is absolutely nothing to do in Houston. This pace sucks.
:penalty: Last time I looked the bars were still open...and yes, it does suck, but I don't know if it's because of lack of things to do
Well, I'm comparing it to New Orleans, where there's always a ton of stuff going on. can't go to the bars b/c the wife can't drink right now (prepping for IVF). What do you suggest we do, S? Astros game tomorrow looks promising.....not sure what to hit up today though (afternoon and evening)

Well, personally I wouldn't go to the Astros game, but I don't do baseball... anyway, depends on your interests...Plenty of really good restaurants, of all kinds. With IVF prep I assume you have to go easy on the drinks too, but nothing wrong with a couple of glasses of wine, right?Anyway, Rice Village should cater to most tastes, or west side of town. What's your poison? Turkish, German, Mediterranean, Mexican, Swedish, Japanese?Movie Theatre/Steak house out west, could work I guess... couple of good go-cart tracks out north west, pool halls... coffee houses, cigarr shops/bars.My wife likes "The Chocolate Bar". There's one in Rice Village, and one on Montrose I believe...

Eventually got out of the house around 4:00. Am now sitting on the beach. Probably super helpful for both parties. Thanks for the input.

So I decided to order one of those photo books for my 8-months pregnant wife to commemorate the first two years of our daughter's life since in a month or so it will be four of us instead of just three. I titled it "Abby, Daddy, and Mommy: Two Years of Wonder" and filled it with a bunch of pictures of my daughter by herself or with me, or my wife, or both. Then the last four pages go (with caption)

1. "From our little baby" - pictures of Abby as a really tiny baby

2. "To our big girl" - newish pictures of her as a two year old

3. "How far you've come" - with two pictures side by side, one of her sleeping in her crib not long after she was born and another of her sleeping in her big girl bed that we just put together last week.

4. "Another chapter begins..." with two pictures side by side, one of my wife being all pregnant this time and one is an ultrasound of the upcoming baby.

Guaranteed winner, right?

Also on a completely unrelated note, it's generally frowned upon to move into a hotel for the last month of pregnancy to get away from a bat#### insane wife who bears little resemblance physically, mentally, or emotionally to the woman I married or even knew two months ago, right?

Honest answer, leave him alone for a bit. Then give him the ego boost tonight.
