Speaking of students...

Last night BSR was telling me about his students in class yesterday.

The kids wanted to be excused from class a few minutes early so BSR asked them questions and if they answer correctly, they could go early.

One of the questions was asking what the capital of Nevada was. The kid that said Carson City was allowed to go early. So, the next question went like this:

BSR: What is the capital of Oregon?

The most popular answer: Oregon! Because there are no leaders in his class, they all chimed in thinking this was the correct answer and they could go. When he said the answer was not Oregon, the Oregon answers slowed down but didn't stop.

The 2nd most popular answer started to rise above the din: OR! This caught fire shortly after the word Oregon was shot down. He rolled his eyes, wrinkled his nose and said, "It's not letters, it's a capital." The entire room hushed.

Moments later, a little girl shouted: 2! Her eager cohorts thought that this out of the box thinking might be the key to their liberty and the number 2 echoed through the room. With disgust, BSR repeated, "2?"

To wrap this up he simply stated the capital of Oregon was Salem and not one child looked like they gave a damn or would remember it once they walked 10 feet down the hallway. His comment to me was, "Star testing is in about 7 weeks." :mellow:

BSR said, "Instead of teaching, I wish I had bought a chicken farm just outside the town of 2!"

Oh man.

Last night there was an auction at the boys school. My cousin, uncle and another guy I know where the bartenders. I was drinking whiskey and I thought I was taking it easy. I ate before the auction and ate dinner there so I should have been good. I wasn't. At the very end, I started feeling woozy. I told Mrs. SLB, uh, we gotta go now. She says hold on I have to pay for all of this stuff. I remember pay $350 for a dinner at Jakes Steaks and a room at the Chase but I'm not sure what else. I seem to remember bidding on a sofa THAT WE DONATED. Ug. So she is taking her time not realizing the seriousness of the situation when my aunt asks me if I'm alright. Uh, no. Your kid has been making my drinks way too strong. How I love him. Thank God our table was by the door. Mrs. SLB finally gets back and I can barely keep my eyes open. I was able to keep my composure with the help of my uncle who had his hand underneath my arm. I don't remember getting home, which thankfully is only a couple of miles from the school, but I remember passing out with my clothes on. I woke up in only my underwear. I apparently had an issue undressing because my belt is broken. I must have just tore it off. Mrs. SLB said I kept it together fairly well but I am embarrassed as all hell. :mellow: There aren't enough of these -> :bag:

Spoke with the s/w this morning for the first time since court. She said I was great on the stand. :phew: She also said we should have a sit down so I know all the issues while considering adoption. I'm not sure I want to. I'm happily ignorant to many of the reasons the girls are in my care. I get why she thinks I should know everything before considering adoption but...

Would you want to know?

 
Ok...so I don't go on Facebook much and I accepted a lot of friend requests when I didn't have any clue who the people were, but there are just some things even I think are way too strange not to pass on. Unfortunately these people are from my home town.

:lmao: See Cal, if you don't eat all of your dinner God will kill us all.He goes to a Catholic school because the public schools in this area are worse than the suck. We are going to be listing our house soon so we can move into a better district for next year.

No, I used it to try and show him how good he has it, what is really important in life and how he should appreciate the loved ones around him because life is so fragile.

No on both counts.My wife wasn't there, but I don't look like a 'mo. I dress terribly. AND I HAVE A BABY AND A WEDDING RING.I got out of there pretty quickly. :lmao: at the Superman cover.
