GM's thread about nothing (39 Viewers)

I am making two turkey breasts for Thanksgiving as it is just the two of us. One seasoned and one plain that will be brined. A little nervous about it, but copious amounts of alcohol should get me through.

I've never cooked any sort of turkey. I assume your trials and efforts will be well documented in another thread?
 
My brother in law was diagnosed with Meniere's Disease this year. This will be our first family thanksgiving that's basically a no-salt thanksgiving.

Not sure how I feel about that

I just got back from the grocery store after spending $100 and picking up a free 20lb turkey. What's more exciting abou the free turkey was fitting it my freezer.

 
I have not read a word since I began my travel back to the States. I will catch up over the rest of the week once I am back with my family. FLYING INTO PORTLAND TOMORROW!!! CAPS LOCK DOESN'T EVEN COME CLOSE TO DESCRIBING HOW I FEEL INSIDE (in a good way)!!! My best hope was looking like this coming weekend.

:goodposting: Thanks all. I am freezing in San Diego after rolling with 100+ temps for so long...Oregon is going to be a super sweet misery for sure.Has anyone used a crockpot on an airplane before? Here is to hoping that life has been fantastic to all of you since my last visit, if I am walking on the toes of bad times for any of our friends in this thread I will make amends once the high has fallen off a bit.
 
I feel like I need to leave work right now and go watch Storage Wars.

Had two different people feel around on my junk yesterday, since my doctor decided to call in sick before my appointment. So I had a nurse practitioner (4.5 - best looking nurse practitioner in an office with 2 nurse practitioners) and a nurse practitioner student who was a big fat guy 10 years older than me. Most action I have had in months. Still neither of them could tell me anything and sent me for a CT scan.

In other exciting news, my wife changed her Facebook status from married to not married and I'm not linked on her page anymore. Since I use Facebook about as much as my junk right now, I had to hear this from my third hand. Does this count as a legal divorce now? That would save a ton of headaches. I know my wife's Facebook password, I thought about logging on last night and making her married again, just to mess with her.
