For those concerned, I texted bob about his recent hiatus. He replied that things have been weird. I said hang in there and hope to see you in gmtan soon. He said he appreciated it. Not getting the warm and fuzzies but at least we know he's not dead. :(
ooof.

so while walking around the liquor store today I decided to give some scotch a try. I bought Johnnie Walker Black. Is this a good beginner scotch?
I like it, but would not consider it a beginner's. Its very peaty for popularly price blend. Nothing like Chivas, JW Red, Cutty, etc. Good thing is, if you like it - you really like scotch. I used to drink it on the rocks with a splash of seltzer, way back in the day.
I only bought a 200ml bottle so I'll power through it even if it's rough. What would you consider a good beginner scotch for me to look for next time?
This is also my first scotch love. Used to drink it on the rocks, no seltzer. Good stuff.

I would also try Glenmorangie Original to get a feel for single malts to see what you like.

I'm eating dinner out of a ziploc bag while drinking, interneting, and listening to Lonely Island. Slap it high?

About to meet some friends and do some serious drinking though. :banned:

Erin Andrews is only 2 hours away from me at this very moment.

I knew I manscaped for the first time ever tonight for a reason.

EA was on the sideline right in front of me for quite a while during the Colorado game last year. And I was insanely drunk and carrying on about how fantastic her ### was (it is) and taking photo after photo with my 1998-style cell phone camera. I was convinced that I had all these great closeup shots of the goods to share with the FFA, but when I woke up the next morning and looked at them, I'd taken a series of wide angle sideline shots. I'm not sure she was even in all of the pictures.

Is Maker's Mark more like Jameson or more like Jack Daniels?
Neither. All three are different. Bourbon, Irish Whiskey, Sour Mash Whiskey, hth.Edit: Jack is by far the sweetest of the 3 imo. I drink the other two straight but mix Jack, unless it's Gentleman Jack.

Tre dropping knowledge. Jameson >> Makers. >> Jack. So when we doing this shot?
So I'm winning with the Jameson? And I hate Jack. Hear a lot about Makers but never tried it.FYI - let's all get ready now
Maker's is my everyday drinking bourbon. I'll drink my fair share of Jameson, but that's usually with others that don't know bourbon is the best thing ever.
