GM's thread about nothing (27 Viewers)

I'd gladly watch the same awesome movie 3 times in one day. Not sure what being a kid has to do with that.
Yeah, but you root for those Bills. You'll watch anything.
don't hurt yourself jumping off the bandwagon.
:lmao: Look, I was just trying the Bills on for size, like women do with lesbianism their sophomore years in college. I liked it for a while, but I'm kind of over it now. Besides, I've ALWAYS been a Cowboys fan and now that I know the wife of Tony Romo, I feel like I have an extra special connection with my hometown heros.

I'm a terrible fan.

Frosty> Might still have a ticket to Saturday's game. Let me know if interested. I'll try not to end up with your wallet at the end of the day.
Already going to be there. :bag:
TAILGATE?
Going with my dad. We're going to have lunch somewheres, so no.
My dad and I met Furley and his dad at a Purdue / Penn St. game a few years ago.
first ever FBG/Dad meetup?Pioneer!

Anyone in a league with someone who just loves to trade? And most of the time I'm not even sure he's trying to better his team, he just loves to trade. I typically have to reject one or two trade requests a week from this guy.
Actually, let me put this in order.9/20 Wayne and Cutler for Newton and D Henderson9/29 Fred Jackson, Josh Freeman, and Henderson for Chris Johnson, Boldin, and Crabtree9/29 Newton and Nate Washington for Roethlisberger and Jordy Nelson10/18 Crabtree for Steelers D10/19 Boldin, Fred Davis, and Palmer for McNabb, Gore, and Cooley10/24 Felix Jones for Hillis10/24 Chris Johnson and Jordy Nelson for Steve Smith and Deangelo Williams
He just traded Owen Daniels and Hillis for Witten and Barber.
11/19 traded Witten and D-Williams for Reggie Bush and Heath Miller11/23 traded Gore and Steve Johnson for Hillis and Calvin Johnson

In the olden days, I played in a league that would charge $1 for every transaction you made, including trades. I also used to have to give my add/drops over the phone to our commish's little sister in highschool. She would always have to click over to us on call-waiting while talking to her friends and get pissy for having to add/drop NFL guys. At least I had a cordless push-button phone and not a walkie-talkie like they had in Tanner's era.Anyhow, charge this jerkass $1 a trade.

can someone summarize the "Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim" thread?
Release of one of the best video games of all time leads to sexually frustrated wives and semi-tense households.
it's really that good, huh?
Yes. Most agree, if not THE best, then a top 5 for sure.
Do they have it for PS2?
Nope. It'd never work on a second gen system. Too big. Too graphically intense.
high level on what the game is?

Did you ever get an answer to your Cannery Row question?
No. What kind of literary snob doesn't respond to a random text about a fancy novel at 1:15 on a Tuesday morning?
I was drunk and about to pass out. Also, haven't read it. :bag:
Yea, sorry. I haven't read it either. But that isn't why I didn't respond earlier. You asked right around the time you were making fun of my son's name, and I either wasn't in the mood to respond, or thought it an odd added insult in some way I couldn't discern. Sorry about that.
No, just a simple legit question. Nice literary snobs we got 'round here.
krista: "What's your opinion of Cannery Row?"Mr. krista: [long pause} "I don't know."He then left for the bathroom.
I'm smarter than you guys.

Yea, sorry. I don't read plebeian crap like Steinback, you commie.
Perfect. I actually laughed out loud.

Just teased Cowboys and Packers tomorrow for a bunch of money.

Decided to throw some bucks on some college basketball. I used to be able to name starting rotations on all acc teams, most top 25 teams. TBH, I couldn't name more than 10 college basketball players total now. This is going to end bad. GB booze

tonights losers are Syracuse and u148 in the kansas/duke game

saw duke's never lost in the maui invitational....laetner and hurley still playing for them?

Kids with ex-wife tonight and us tomorrow. Wife at work. Again. :(All friends occupied. :kicksrock:5:42pm and nothing to do.I hate free time. Boredom is a terrible thing.Ate a magical outer space brownie and cracked pre-run beer number 2. TV off. No football and I'm just not ready to start watching college hoops. They moved the time when Judge Judy comes on. I hate when they do that with shows.Really don't feel like running on a treadmill in a nondescript, un-hip rec center, but that's probably what this glutton needs most.Portland weather has been dreary and relentless with the rain and winds. Lotta gray gloom going around.I made crockpot chicken 20 minutes ago and I don't make two batches anymore these days.Maybe I'll just cook my wife a nice dinner for when she gets home. I did that the last two nights and it seems to be appreciated. Did a nice sockeye salmon last night, thank you Alton Brown.Blah blah blah....happy thanksgiving to you all!
travis> hey

We didn't jump off. The bandwagon rolled over the suddenly-lifeless corpse of Ryan Fitzpatrick, throwing us from the bandwagon and breaking Fred Jackson's leg. :scared:

So I have a new boss at work. He started last Friday. He's new to town and has no friends and I don't know what's up with his family but he mentioned staying in town. So I invited him to Thanksgiving at my parents' place and he accepted. It's just my parents, my wife and I, and our two stupid kids so it's not like my whole family will be there to act like idiots, but there are a million ways this can go wrong, right?

My plan is to get drunk while watching sports.

4 fingers of Kalua and 2 fingers of half&half = tasty
Just cracked a 2010 Fish Eye Pinot Grigio...thoughts?
unfamiliar. I seldom drink PG. not enough flavor for my worn out tastebuds
I was messing with you...it's the cheap stuff...like $3.99/bottle. Oh and it's a screw cap :bowtie:I'm not a wine snob by any means, and I like to drink...beer is expensive, so I do this once or so a week.

I need the beginner's guide to starting a wine collection when you get a chance, TIA.
What do you like? THis is a good time to buy. Probably cheapest prices of the year.Do you have a cellar? How long are you willing to "hold" quality bottle? How much do you want to invest?

I used to buy expensive jeans and drink expensive wine. As I post this, I'm in Levis and I'm drinking Charles Shaw. I think I'm ok with that.

Edit: Oh, and I want to hug whoever put elastic in the waistband of these Levis

Mostly cabs right now, but I'm a major noob. I don't have a cellar, I could buy something. I'd prefer to get a few "cheap-ish" guys that I can drink now and maybe a few to hold. I bought a random selection of six from the wine thread the other day just based on peep's suggestions...here's what I got:Hogue Genesis Cabernet Sauvignon 2007 St Francis Cabernet Sauvignon 2007Marques de Caceres 'Rioja' Reserva 2004Cimicky Trumps Grenache/Shiraz 2007Louis Martini 'Sonoma' Cabernet Sauvignon 2009Quail's Gate Pinot Noir 2008If any/all of these are terrible, I can take it. Give me the straight cosdirt. TIA

Sometimes I drink Bud Light and sometimes I drink a nice stout or pale ale...I think the same can be said for wine.

what are some good time wasting game sites? like puzzle games, #### i can do while watching TV....you know since I need to be doing multiple things at once

Actually, we charge $1 per player traded.
