GM's thread about nothing (43 Viewers)

First beer of the night: Abita Christmas Ale :thumbup:Anyone else going to be GMTANing it tonight  :bag:
I'll be here a bit. Missed Thanksgiving and Christmas with my family so, because Mr. krista would be working all day yesterday and today, came to see them primarily for my 91-year-old grandfather (who just built a fireplace in his house). Sooooo...not exactly any crazy NYE happenings for me.

I'm here. Had our NYE party with JR and Angrybaby at 6 pm with little smokies, queso, ranch dip, cookies and smores. Drinking some local beer but I have a Left Hand Twin Sisters DIPA and Stone IPA waiting on my when the boys are both in bed.

I'm not a big fan of NYE, since it's amateur hour out there. I'll probably be home getting drunk with the lights off in the front of the house, just in case knuckles does a drive-by.

Nice, about to start beer #2 while I sparingly take down the Xmas decorations while watching the auburn game.Think I'll save my pearl jam 20 beer for midnitish

My version of knuckles just texted me to let me know she's gone back to AA, "because you're the only know that knows." How do I politely tell her that the whole town knows she's a drunk?
"You're going to have to find a new town if you want to be anonymous."knuckles claimed she was going to quit drinking for 6 months after her last embarrassing meltdown. lasted 3 days.my new year's eve consists of avoiding her tonight.
12:01 isn't new year's eve anymore

I am drinking a lot of wine and watching as I edge toward my first-ever win in my family's CFB confidence pool. My mom, stepfather and I have polished off a bottle of Cava, Fume Blanc and Pinot Noir so far. (Will be asleep before midnight and very excited about my 7 a.m. flight back to Memphis tomorrow.)

My stepdad got an iPad 2 for Christmas. His 8 year old Acer laptop, with it's Celeron M processor and 80 GB HDD, is simply refusing to take on iTunes.

Both machines are sitting here useless. FML.

Oh, i'll be around... entire house sick with a nasty cold. 2 year old is nursing 4 fingers of VitD, daddy 4 fingers of vodka with lime juice in a big gulp.

I expect the house to be completely quiet at 9pm.

The people in the Getting Fat thread who need to lose 30-40 lbs amuse me. I know that's wrong, and I hope they succeed. But my sympathy has its limits. Some of us need to lose a buck and a quarter. I have little concern for their spare tires when I'm carrying around a Pep Boys over here.

Over the last few weeks, my left leg below the knee has gotten a little swollen and tender. I can push on the skin and leave a dent that takes a minute to refill. I'm going to have to do something. Roids sound good.

Congrats TRE. May your marriage be filled with years of happiness. And if it's not and you get divorced, I'd like to cornhole with you. Either way, good luck gb.

have you tried any dieting? Weight Watchers works awesome IMO. Basically, you eat drink what you want, just need to manage portions. And they use this nifty points system that makes it easy. I dropped 45 lbs over the course of a year on it

If it's working for Charles Barkley, it must have something going for it. I lost 30 lbs from Jan-June last year on the 4-Hour Body program, but found it difficult to stick with when I started my new job. Having said that, I need to stop making excuses, or my friends are going to start working on eulogies.Did I mention the scratch on that leg, that is slowly but continuously weeping clear fluid?

I'll probably be around. Wife's co-worker is have a party, but I see no way she makes it that late and I won't be encouraging her.

Didn't do anything today other than nap and pray for my hangover to go away. Little 'Zooks is with his mother. I did make some crock pot chicken while watching about 20 minutes of that Kardashian show. I really didn't want to be hungover and do nothing tonight so I started guzzling water and thought if I worked out I could probably sweat out whatever alcohol was still inside me. So I did a push up. I took a shower and that seemed to energize me so I went out to dinner with my parents, my brother and his wife and my nephew who is 3 (I taught him how to play Keno tonight) I stopped at a buddy's house who was having a party but it was literally all couples at the party and no one wanted to go out to a bar for a drink, so I came home. The 22 year old is in NYC so I really have nothing to do.

I'm debating whether or not I should just get absolutely hammered by myself or do something productive like go to bed early. I have a nice bottle of Jack Daniels that my brother gave me for xmas that is on the counter and it is staring at me in a flirtacious "come-drink-me" kinda way. I'm really on the fence about this, and strangely the factor that is actually tipping the scales right now is the fact that I haven't sent Tanner a drunk PM in a while and I'm thinking I'd like to do that tonight. I'm not sure if that reflects poorly on me or perhaps it's just complimentary toward our favorite eldery teacher.

Also, I've started keeping a journal about the 22 year old. She has become such a wild adventure filled with entertainment and romance. I feel like its something I'd want to share with my grand children someday and I'm afraid when I get Tannered old I may forget some of the details.

Before I forget, JR got out of the tub tonight and told us that his penis wasn't working any more. Then he tugged on it a couple times for emphasis in case we didn't understand what he was saying.
