A whole ton of Pearl Jam ones:Sonic Reducer
I don't care if this post is months old, but it is too horrific to fail to mention. Rocket from the Tombs kicked more ### in the first wave of their brief, under-documented existence than two decades worth of Vedder's affected, sheep-like bleating. Almost no band on earth has come up with anything as singularly awesome as "Sonic Reducer" and it sure as scrotum hasn't been improved upon by Pearl Jam. Your opinion on this matter is incorrect. You are a poor judge of aesthetic execution and artistic intention and you are therefore, by extension, a bad person. Shame on you. Be better.
To be fair, he's 100% correct and you are 0% correct.

Yeah, good call. One song from a 70's Cleveland bar band is better than Pearl Jam's discography. You and Humanzee should go jerk each other off at CBGB.

Watching local news about legalization of marijuana that goes into effect on Thursday. Our illustrious legislature has determined that it isn't possible to grow pot outdoors in Washington, so all licensed growers must grow indoors.

The emerald triangle all the way through alaska produces some of the best weed on the planet. This type of stupidity is why I thought legalization was a bad idea.

Yes, completely stupid. But is it more stupid than full prohibition?

no, but this law wasn't very well thought out. they legalized possession of less than an ounce, but selling and growing are still illegal. the legislature has a year to put laws into place regulating selling and growing, which will be regulated by the same alcohol agency that the voters decided last year shouldn't be in charge of selling alcohol anymore. so this was their first decision. more idiocy is sure to follow. so far all they've determined is that only licensed growers can grow it, but only indoors, and at a cost of $1,000 for a license.

A grand for a license is nothing...hell, a grand a month is nothing. But regarding the growing/selling restrictions, the people that are going to be making the big bucks off of this new situation need to start seriously buying their politicians. They really need to understand how things are done in our glorious political system.

they've effectively eliminated a huge percentage of the best and most experienced growers. it's not just a grand for a license now...you have to have an indoor setup, which is stupid when we have great soil, tons of rain, and good temperatures. the best pot, from the best growers, will still be illegal to sell and illegal to purchase. of course, once you get it you won't get busted for having it, but the guys supplying it will still be taking the same risks to compete with corporate hydro farms.

My point was that these growers need to get the politicians to change that first decision. Hopefully like next week.In the meantime, get a license, dump 100k into an indoor grow that will pass the eyeball test, keep growing your illegal ####, sell it like it comes from the indoor grow, and spend any extra profit on lobbying.Once the laws change (which they will if the growers keep pumping money to the d-bag state senators) then it becomes a downright INDUSTRY. And once it's an industry, anyone against it is a socialist communist hippie ###hole that hates America. Jesus H. Christ, tell these former hippie a##holes to look at Exxon and take f###ing notes.

Bill, since I don't know if your e-mail works...I didn't FedEx today but will do so tomorrow for Thursday delivery.

Also, it isn't posted yet, but we now have had three guests at Paloma and three five-star reviews. :) We also got another five-star Camila review today. 14 of them there. Have never had one less than five stars (whew), but the 100% posting rate on Paloma is awesome. I have never even sent an invite for anyone to review.

Seriously if I quit my job my calling is to do B&B-type stuff. cos, you hiring?
Cool. Will keep an eye open for it.Congrats on the new reviews!

Maybe if you didn't spend so much time thinking about growing pot, you'd have more billable hours /MoP

We invite you to also join us next Wednesday, December 12 in Learning Center B, [address] for “A World of Holidays.” This program and children’s choir performance will highlight how various cultures celebrate the holiday season all over the world. From traditional Christmas celebrations to the Muslim celebration of Eid-Al-Adha, we will explore the tenets of six cultural celebrations, including Hanukkah, Chinese New Year, Christmas in Puerto Rico and Kwanzaa. After the program, plan to stay to sample treats from these cultures represented for you to enjoy.

Want more sweet treats? What’s your favorite? Is it a part of a family tradition? We encourage you to bring in your family’s favorite treats from home next Wednesday – label them in case your co-workers have any allergies – and put them out for everyone in your department to share.
Kwanzaa? Hanukkah? Gotcha. But nothing says "multi-cultural" to me like "Puerto Rico Christmas".Also, please bring things to share at your own expense, but please don't kill anyone in the process.
:lmao: I asked my wife and she was basically confused by this, she* says it's pretty much a normal Christmas  What are their plans for a PRC? *She is Puerto Rican

Saw some bluegrass band on Conan the other night which is odd because I never watch Conan and I'm not a huge bluegrass guy. But these Punch Brothers were pretty good. Not a Mumford & Sons fan by any stretch, but they had that sort of twang, only the guy could really sing.

Steve Albini's wife puts on a 24-hour benefit at Second City every year, and I thought of you when I saw that the 10 a.m. slot is Steve Albini interviewing Nate Silver. Full line-up here.Oh, and I don't care if OH was right about that or not, but that was a funny post.
"Be better" was really funny.
