Good reviews by friends/family/employees and bad reviews by actual customers?

Most people are only motivated to write a review if they loved it or hated it.

Oh #### yes.

Update:

Have 36 applications in to "the big tech company here in town." Had an interview there two weeks ago and haven't yet got an offer. Maybe they didn't like me. Maybe the recruiter knew I would turn it down. The hiring folks were at a conference last week so I am not likely to get called for any more interviews for a few days. 16 of my 36 applications are listed as "candidate under consideration."Had a phone interview today with a recruiter for a business development director job in another sector. I think it went well and hope to hear directly from the company itself. Had a phone discussion yesterday with a recruiter staffing two jobs that pay a LOT of money in a sector I am not familiar with. But I could do a good job (sales is sales and management of people is constant across industries in my view). Will follow up in a week. Had a phone interview today with a company in my current sector. Pass. Have three applications in with the fruit company (tech). Finally got linked up with a recruiter there and he sent my résumé directly to the hiring managers for those positions. Would love to work there. Old boss is helping me with getting my résumé to the right hiring manager at a san antonoo based cloud services company that is always rated as a great place to work and has a sales hub here in town. Facebook turned me down for an ad sales spot, which didn't shock me. I'm glad to have applied though. And there is one enterprise sales job open at the premier tech company on the planet. I have applied and am overqualified but would crawl over glass shards to get an interview. I'd take a paycut to work there. So if anyone knows anyone (particularly a recruiter) at the company formerly known as Backrub, please let me know. Enjoy the night Jim Tanners.

Think you slipped up using the slave name of Facebook here. Otherwise it was good schtick.

gm > how did the veggie red beans and rice come out? making a big batch right now with sausage, but would probably be willing to give meatless ones a shot once
Loved it. Not the same, of course, but very good. My wife and older son really liked it. But it was HOT. Way too hot. I didn't need to add the Serrano pepper, turns out. But I'd make it again in heartbeat. The chipotle peppers in abode sauce + tsp of liquid smoke helped mitigate the absence of sausage/bacon fat. We just finished the last of it tonight.

good deal. can you post your recipe if you get a chance?

Just going over the old calendar for today, it looks my my main projects are a Chamber of Commerce lunch and an afternoon strategy meeting plus the meeting before the meeting and the meeting before the meeting before the meeting that are inevitable in corporate America.Bob - :hi:

I got it off this link, but as is my nature, I tinkered quite a bit.
- Instead of just throwing the chopped veggies in fresh, I sauteed them in a little olive oil and of course, added a nice dose of Tony's to the mix. I just think they work better when sauteed together with some Cajun love.- The recipe says to cover the beans et al with 2" of water. I was afraid that would make it too soupy, so I just did 1". As the beans cooked, I added about 1/4-1/2 cup of veggie stock and perhaps 1/2-3/4 can of Coors Light because I felt like the stock would add some substance and the beer, well WHY THE HELL NOT! :excited: I also added water along the way and you'll get a feel for it as you cook. You do want to keep everything well hydrated and the rice will soak up a lot of the liquid, but I just didn't want to over water it.- To the dry spices, I included paprika and a healthy dose of cumin because I just think they work very well with beans. Glad I did.- I also went with Basmati Rice because I like it. Excellent with the Red Beans. What I would NOT do next time is cut up and add a serrano pepper. That was TOO much heat. The Tabasco Sauce + Cayenne + Chipotle/Adobo is more than enough heat. It was still great, but not for the faint of heart.

thx. very interesting way of cooking them. Might have to mess around with it a bit. of course, here everyone has their own recipe. the one i use is from Mrs. TF's grandmother and is very simple...no dry spices at all but they taste great. Most of the flavor comes from the sausage

You can't find them up here unless you really look (or go to Popeyes). Seeing it on a menu at an airport gave me the Jumpy&quo. I'm a dry spice guy and love to tinker. When I make it again, I'm sure it'll taste slightly different. I also wish I had access to Camellia's beans. Heard those are game changers.

College senior & future Mrs. Fly, on the other hand, has a great tongue.
I feel like that picture could easily appear on this show.
Her best friend was taking a photo class and did a whole shoot of us for some project. The future wife and I were X-Files fans and around this time Duchovny and Gilliam appeared on a magazine cover in this pose. We copied it. It was pretty tough keeping a disinterested face while being licked. Try it some time. You can even work it into your Stutastic arsenal: "I bet I can keep a straight face while you lick me." Get your friends to take pictures. That'd be pretty good shtick if you could compile a montage of random broads licking your bored face. :lmao:
You guys were engaged already?
