College senior & future Mrs. Fly, on the other hand, has a great tongue.
I feel like that picture could easily appear on this show.
Her best friend was taking a photo class and did a whole shoot of us for some project. The future wife and I were X-Files fans and around this time Duchovny and Gilliam appeared on a magazine cover in this pose. We copied it. It was pretty tough keeping a disinterested face while being licked. Try it some time. You can even work it into your Stutastic arsenal: "I bet I can keep a straight face while you lick me." Get your friends to take pictures. That'd be pretty good shtick if you could compile a montage of random broads licking your bored face. :lmao:
You guys were engaged already?
I'm not sure. We dated all through college and got engaged our last semester.

I would definitely try to hit Kauai. We did 4 nights on Maui and 3 on Kauai. Could have used one more at each but it was worth it to hit both. Also, fly Hawaii Airlines instead of Island Air if possible.

Just booked my "work" trip for myself and Mrs. SLB 4/30-5/5 in Maui. I extended the trip by three nights, where should we stay? K4?
Dunno, but that sounds fantastic. Have a blast!
Sort of a lifetime achievement award.
Maui is awesome. Was just there.
Would you spend the other 3 nights there or go to another island?
It depends upon what you want. Kauai is very quiet and feels like you're on a deserted island from what I've heard about it. You go there, hang at your rental, and don't see anyone else basically.Oahu/Honolulu is pretty cool as you see all of these famous places/sites, like Waikiki Beach and all the famous grand hotels, Diamond Head, etc., but it's busy, urban and touristy. Still, I like WWII history and diverting to Pearl Harbor was cool. Also, Alan Wong's remains perhaps the best meal I've ever had. Maui's in-between. When I went, I did several days in Honolulu, and then several days at the Ritz Carlton in Maui, which is all the way at one end of the island (20 minute drive from Lahaina). It was pretty amazing. Driving the road to Hana was awesome. I'd have loved to bike down the crater, but I didn't do it. Also, I don't care what your favorite drink is, you're a fool if you don't drink planters punch there.

What I was considering, thanks.

We are staying at The Hyatt Regency Maui. I like WWII stuff too and so does Mrs. SLB. Seeing Pearl Harbor is a must.

I haven't been to Hawaii since I was 15, but I see you've had some great suggestions. I too would hit Kauai as well--the favorite island of 15-year-old K4. :)

I showed it to my wife. She rolled her eyes.

I cited that British study that says semen helps fight depression in women, and offered to be her bell cow.

She opened her mouth.

I got excited.

Then I realized her mouth was open in shock & disgust.
:lmao: The problem is in Britain that the weather is so depressing that anything is a lift. :kicksrock:

gm > how did the veggie red beans and rice come out? making a big batch right now with sausage, but would probably be willing to give meatless ones a shot once
Loved it. Not the same, of course, but very good. My wife and older son really liked it. But it was HOT. Way too hot. I didn't need to add the Serrano pepper, turns out. But I'd make it again in heartbeat. The chipotle peppers in abode sauce + tsp of liquid smoke helped mitigate the absence of sausage/bacon fat. We just finished the last of it tonight.
good deal. can you post your recipe if you get a chance?
I got it off this link, but as is my nature, I tinkered quite a bit.
- Instead of just throwing the chopped veggies in fresh, I sauteed them in a little olive oil and of course, added a nice dose of Tony's to the mix. I just think they work better when sauteed together with some Cajun love.- The recipe says to cover the beans et al with 2" of water. I was afraid that would make it too soupy, so I just did 1". As the beans cooked, I added about 1/4-1/2 cup of veggie stock and perhaps 1/2-3/4 can of Coors Light because I felt like the stock would add some substance and the beer, well WHY THE HELL NOT! :excited: I also added water along the way and you'll get a feel for it as you cook. You do want to keep everything well hydrated and the rice will soak up a lot of the liquid, but I just didn't want to over water it.- To the dry spices, I included paprika and a healthy dose of cumin because I just think they work very well with beans. Glad I did.- I also went with Basmati Rice because I like it. Excellent with the Red Beans. What I would NOT do next time is cut up and add a serrano pepper. That was TOO much heat. The Tabasco Sauce + Cayenne + Chipotle/Adobo is more than enough heat. It was still great, but not for the faint of heart.
thx. very interesting way of cooking them. Might have to mess around with it a bit. of course, here everyone has their own recipe. the one i use is from Mrs. TF's grandmother and is very simple...no dry spices at all but they taste great. Most of the flavor comes from the sausage
Yeah, it's not the same creation by any means. I had a bowl of them at the Houston airport on the way to Coshole and forgot how much I loved them. You can't find them up here unless you really look (or go to Popeyes). Seeing it on a menu at an airport gave me the Jumpy&quo. I'm a dry spice guy and love to tinker. When I make it again, I'm sure it'll taste slightly different. I also wish I had access to Camellia's beans. Heard those are game changers.yeah the recipe that i use is simple (but you need to be around for 4 hours to stir every once in awhile):1 lb Andoille Sausage1 lb Camellia Red Beans1 Large Bell Pepper1 Large Onion4 stalks of celery3 cloves of garlic1. Cut sausage into slices2. Dice up onion, bell pepper and celery as fine as you can3. Heat sausage over med/high heat until browned - remove sausage4. Fry diced up veggies in sausage fat until onions are clear5. Add sausage back and toss in garlic - stir for a few minutes6. Add beans and 8 cups of water7. Once boiled, reduce heat to low/med8. Stir every few minutes until the entire thing cooks down and becomes very creamy. Feel free to add water during if it doesn't reach desired consistency9. Salt to tasteBiggest pain in the butt about the whole thing is that it takes awhile to get them right...but it's worth it. I usually make 2lb of meat worth (just double the recipe) and freeze a bunch to thaw later.

Just checked out Camellia's website and found this, TF: My link  nice

Have to run to Balmore tomorrow for a quick trip. My son said "well, if you have time, like if you have to go to the airport, and have extra time, can you tell the Ravens good job for winning the Superbowl?"

When I was researching a possible trip to Hawaii a few years back (we never managed to go) everything I read said Kauai was pretty much the best.

I'm just going to say it again, SLB: Alan Wong's. You won't be disappointed.
 I love good food.
I would definitely try to hit Kauai.
:excited: [/bRONG]
I wasn't sure if BRONG stayed in hotels or lived in the jungle.
"Stayed" is such a limiting term.
True.
All I know is that the guy previewed our rental place for us. Even took pics.
he definitely has the life
Absolutely. Big fan of BRONG/SLBD. He's the first person I spoke to on this board when I thought my sister was dead or something. Turns out not. I even weeped a bit while him and somebody else (you?) was on the phone. He helped me a lot though. I owe him for sure.
:lmao: Very cute.

Cool. That will be the plan then. I have a ton of points on my Sapphire card I can use for a nice room and stuff. I was going to take the family to Disney World but I guess Zooks will have to take them.

you guys do conference calls?
I'm thinking this was back in the yellow board days. My sister "moved" to Kauai. Except by "moved" I mean she lived in the jungle in the Hanalei area. My parents didn't hear from her for almost a year and didn't have a way to contact her. My Mom was crying her eyes saying she was dead so went looking anywhere possible to find her for my parents. Sonny and another friend were jointly able to get the word out to her. I'm not exactly in a great place with my sister but I owe a lot to, just Sonny now, for his help. Great dude.

Offshore sportsbook chat shtick is some of my favorite. There's really no reason not to flirt with a broad who lives in Costa Rica and works at a shady online gambling site.

I'm in a MILE LONG LINE at cvs buying v-day card for the wife from boys and I. What is wrong with these people? Why can't they plan ahead?
