I came to work this morning and a coworker pointed out that I was wearing a garnet colored shirt. Garnet. As in the color of my sworn enemy, the University of South Carolina.

Texas A&M - 27 vs Rice
I got this at a little better line, but the above is still widely available.
Everyone knows about Johnny Manziel. But, the Aggies still have quite a bit of talent on the team. They return three starters on the o-line, and a senior rb that averages like 6 ypc. Game is at Kyle field which is a pretty big hfa for A&M.
27 points is a lot to give up, but here's why I like it.
-Sumlin runs a fast pace offense, with or without Manziel they can score. Last year they hung 30 or more against everyone they played except @ Alabama (29) and home vs LUS (19 - but still put up 400+ yards on offense). We all know what his Cougar teams did at UofH.
-Manziel only suspended for first half is a joke. He should play at least a few drives to get some plays in against Rice.

but the real reason I'm laying the points:
Rice will be without probably their two most important defensive players, Gaines and Nwosu:

going on the road to a hostile environment, without two important senior leaders on the field, this one could get ugly in a hurry.
Sumlin very familiar with Baliff from time spent at UofH vs Rice, so I wouldn't expect an embarrassment, however, don't expect them to hold back much either.

It's my birthstone. I used to go garnet hunting at old Sebago Lake in Maine when I was a youngin. I also made a fairy garden or two. I could probably identify a lady slipper with my eyes closed.
