GM's thread about nothing (53 Viewers)

Homer, yes start them all even if on bye. All mine are on bye. Rosters all frozen now and you can see what others have. We have 37 players. Have MOP convert that math for us. Back out league dues....

Everybody advances. Its total cumulative points scored through the SB.
Whoops. Didn't realize it was cumulative...oh well, better luck next year!
You want refund?

such football so rostr

much starters

Guys, I'm having some almost-buyer's remorse even before buying this house. I'm starting to think a reasonable person might move to Seattle and rent for a while before just jumping in to yet another home purchase. Yes?
Moving to Seattle already? I haven't had a chance to cornhole you in Atlanta. Good luck!
We'll probably be here for another three months. Who else is in ATL? We should put something together!
McGarnicle, Rick James, StevieG??, I'm forgetting some others I know - I'd be in for Happy Hour.
Hipple, KidC, Stubby, a few others. I was the FFA ATL FF champion in 2003 :flex:
Hipple would show up two weeks late for the cornhole.

Looks like the refs are on KC today. Congrats Chief backers. Can't wait for robot refs.
:lmao:

Funny thing about people in KC, most of them root against STL teams no matter what. They have a serious inferiority complex for some reason. I would say most people here are rooting for the Chiefs though. It's all very odd.

My Dad works every Saturday still. Always has. I hate that. Mostly because he then e-mails me about stuff which means now I'm working. "If you're not working, then I'm not working!! And if I'm not working, I'M NOT WORKING!!!".

Oops, whiskey.

Good news: the GMTAN needs more bad decisions makers and I've ably played that role at times in the past... And it appears as though I'm about to do so again

Bad news: Chicago Girl dumped my ### earlier this afternoon :kicksrock:

sorry, man. I will grab a random airplane bottle and drink it in your honor.

from the time I got up today, something in my house smells like burning.

not quite like an electrical fire. more like the smell when you have a gas fireplace and haven't turned it on in six months, and then the first time you use it the dust burns off.

I've gone through every outlet in the house, and turned off everything. still smells the same.

What the the hell happened?
We were gonna hang out tonight, so she came over, said she needed to talk about something, so we sat down on my couch. She stammered a little and I asked if this was her breaking up with me. She paused and said yes, I said fuck and asked why. Her reason: we had different visions of what we wanted for the future. I asked her what she thought our visions were and she couldn't answer. That was pretty much it :kicksrock:

Krista, you tend to make oddly committed decisions for someone that should be extremely non-committal. I haven't really jumped into the conversation thus far, but I was/am completely flummoxed by your decision to buy a house. Jebus, you were polling the GMTAN not even two months ago about where to live. When you're in that state of mind, you shouldn't even be making plans for next weekend let alone buying a house.

Just embrace the fact that you're currently a nomad, rent a place, and save the long-term decisions for when it actually makes sense to decide.
Alright, who stole Homer's login?
Well as a single, broke, unhealthy, 39 year old bartender with a moderate-to-severe drinking problem and severe-to-insane personal issues, I generally refrain from dispensing life advice to anyone other than the bottom of society's barrel.

This one just seems way too obvious though.
Homer doesn't offer advice often, but when he does it's always spot on
Paging Guster.

Are customers less snobbish/dickish at trader joes vs whole foods? I'm ready to start ####### punching people in the throat. Not to mention the parking lot cluster #### of #######s creating their own spots and being impatient.
PM MoP for appropriate outrage levels.
I know. I just figured hippies wouldn't be so aggressive and might say excuse me and generally be more polite. I had a lone pineapple in my cart at some point. I park the thing in a low traffic area that doesn't get in people's way and go get some berries (this is within a few feet of my cart). I go back to my cart and a woman is taking my pineapple out my cart and putting it on top of apples and starting to walk away with the cart. I just said "excuse me, that's my cart" (imagine if I HAD been mop). Wtf though?

let her get about 15 feet away, yell, "hey" and spiral that pineapple into her face.
