GM's thread about nothing (41 Viewers)

I have a hardback of "dr sleep" available of anyone would like to read it. Pretty good.
What do you want in trade?
Fish claimed it a minute ago but if he doesn't want it I will send to you. Don't want anything.
No biggie, I have plenty to read.
No shtick. And I've pimped this before but if you guys want a really good read see if you can find "Replay" by Ken Grimwood. I'll stake whatever crappy reputation on this.
Why do you love the french?

Added it to my spreadsheet. No follow up questions.
Went to amazon to order it just now and recognized the cover art. Went back and looked and its buried deep in my Kindle. I guess I bought it last tiem you pimped it when I was likely drunk.
:lmao: I'm usually hesitant to recommend books so vigorously but I really dig this one.

If anyone is interested (without giving away too much):

What would you do if you woke up tomorrow and you were 18 again? Same year, same setting etc. It's suddenly 1988 or 1994 or in my case the Taft administration. And you had all of the same knowledge you have now. You even know who to bet on in the World Series or SB or Kentucky Derby. What would you do different?
I'd go back and kill GM's dad before he wrote his novel.
JFC :lmao:

Oh...there is a limit to this kind of stuff. Stopping the Clash from making Combat Rock etc.
Oh well never mind then.

Looks like I'm going to be on the local news today. Someone tried to grab a HS girl off a nearby trail (Homer :bye: ), so they are doing a story on it, and interviewed me.
Not to poop in your cheerios, but they always look for the dumbest people to interview.
But she was so sincere when she knocked on my trailer door!
Do you look like Richard Sherman? Maybe they thought you'd give a similar, hilarious WWE-style interview.
I thought about that, and about trying to drop in a FFA reference, but only immediately afterward.
Please link when its online
I'm the white guy.
Whoever has Techumseh for Secret Santa next year
WOOHOO first time I've reached my limit of Likes for the day. :pickle:

TF, I will always remember you as my first. You were very gentle and I will forever think of you fondly.
:hifive:

At the risk of sounding cliquish (is that a word?). Any reason EG72 or RaiderNation don't post in here? Not sure if there is any iBeef with anyone in here, but seems they would fit in nicely and add some lols to the thread

I've actually wondered about that before. I would make a lot of decisions differently than I did. In fact, most all of them even if I did or didn't know what the future held.

But mostly I'd be heartbroken that the daughter I have would not exist because I think she's so amazing.

I'm home with my daughter today, so I let her have a friend over for a sleepover last night. They went to bed sometime after 11 last night and woke up around 5am. Wtf?? I expected the late night, but thought they might sleep in :wall:
This plan ALWAYS backfires on me.
Yeah, home with her again today. Snow Day!!

This is 4 out of the last 5 days. I'm running out of ways to entertain a 7 year old while I try to get some work done.

Gonna try to get everything done this morning so we can go play in the snow this afternoon for a bit

RN would fit in real well with his vast knowledge of...ahem.....kitties

Homer>HI!!! :hey:

Not a big mixed drink guy. When I go out, it's beer. Always. What can I order so I don't look like a dope that'll cost me less than 10 bucks.

TIA.
Sh#t, man. The possibilities are endless. Do you have any preferences?

Gotta help me narrow it down a little.
I dunno. the extent of my liquor intake has been jack or rum mixed with Coke. Just never ordered anything else. I'm a blank canvas.
I prefer both of those with ginger ale, especially Cap'n.
You know what is some good ####? Ginger ale (diet since I'm watching my girlish figure) and one of them there fruity flavored vodkas. Wife and I went to a BYOB thing a few months ago and that's what we brought. Pretty sure it was Raspberry flavor. I thought it was going to be sweet as hell but it was not. It was not.
Pretty sure those fruits vodkas have more hfcs and sugar than a good ginger beer.
Some do. The ones that are "infused" don't have any sugar.

Ketel and Absolut are two that don't use sugar IIRC
thanks for the info. I'll keep it mind next bump the wagon hits.
Sounds like you're half in the bag right now gb. :bye:
How have we made it this far into a discussion on flavored vodkas without surprise cucumber vodka shots coming up?

Shuke/Guster - had a bunch of leftover chili and leftover sphagetti noodles, so I decided to mix them both. Much better with corn chips and I'd venture to say, better by itself. Am I missing something? Just a regional thing?

It's the flavor and texture

I usually suggest people enter into the world of Cincinnati chili with skyline dip: a layer of cream cheese, a layer of chili, a layer of shredded cheddar baked and served with Fritos scoops

I think the big issue is that people hear chili and thing a bowl of meat, tomatoes and spices (no beans) that you eat with a spoon. The consistency of Cincinnati chili doesn't really lend itself to that, but serves well as a meat sauce on top of spaghetti.

Now you're making me crave skyline. Wish there was one within walking distance

what you're craving isn't chili

At the Knoxville worlds fair I had my first if many Petros. Take a bag of Fritos, add sour cream, chives, chili and shredded cheddar right in to the bag. Eat with fork

They served "frito pie" at the Little League games when I was a tike. Same thing, but no sour cream and regular onion instead of chives. Can't believe than culinary phenomenon didn't spread 85 miles to Huntsville.

So, it wasn't the same thing?

We had Frito lie in Huntsville. This was the Knoxville worlds fair. The WORLD'S FAIR! Doesn't get any bigger than that.

Agreed. This thread also needs more Tufnel and Capella.

Yes, you're missing the fact that that what you leftovers of wasn't Cincinnati chili.

My wife, originally from Cincinnati, stinks the house up with this #### occasionally.
