GM's thread about nothing (26 Viewers)

So I stayed at a Hilton Monday for our conference. Paid by company. I then stayed at a courtyard last night to see a property some where else. I have a $50 charge pending on my cc from Monday and a $26 charge from Tuesday (in addition to the correct room charge). I ordered nothing. No movie. No food. Nothing. Wtf? Now I'm going to be thinking about this all night.
Call the hotels now and have them look it up. Or if the charges are not at the hotel, report your card stolen.
I have some experience with this just today. My hotel in Lubbock pended a $50 charge on my credit card in case I charged anything to the room just to make sure that the card was good. They said that it would clear in a few days.Everyone else from my group went to the room early. I would still be in the bar drinking, but someone at dinner said "Bentley, you look like you've been up since 4 this morning." I had, but there's no need to point that out. Since we have trips the next two weeks, I decided to call it a night early this week in the interest of future drinking opportunities.
Ah. I will wait to call if these go from pending to real then. I was just checking my balance and the charges were a surprise.

Kid's asleep and I'm now friends with PV on teh FB.

I'm out of practice but i think a friend request pretty much means she wants to bone.

Do I need to do a whole Fro coffee shop thing or what?
If my experience is any indication, you are 100% correct.

Also, sorry I couldn't weigh in on child-loving issues...court orders and all that.

Update: I was discussing this with the aide that helps me out with the special kids. Another student told her that the kid showed him the vibe and said that it was his mom's.

:X
Update update: So the vibe in question resided in the counselor's cupboard for about a week. There was (wisely) no communication between this kid's parents and the school.

We'll call the counselor "Lana". There is also a younger guy who is one of our usual substitutes. His mom also teaches in the district. We'll call this guy Kenny. Kenny is pretty damn cool and funny as hell. Lana is friends with both Kenny and his mom.

Last night Lana went to Kenny's mom's house to play bunco. Kenny still lives at home. Lana brought the vibe with her and, with the consent and encouragement from Kenny's mom, placed it in Kenny's shower for him to find this AM.

Lana gets a text on the way to work this morning from Kenny "you are one sick *******". :lmao:

My son does the same thing. We got different roles, GB. My father's mentioned this to me. It's just natural and ingrained for boys (all kids really) to gravitate to their mothers. As boys get older and turn into men and then fathers I think they remember us a little more.
Oh yeah, I get that GB. Right now I'm embracing my role as top whiskey drinker in the house.
You are the walrus, GB.
Good morning, Homer. Did you have a good day's sleep?
:finger:

I'll have you know I was up and around before 2. Okay, maybe not "around" but I was definitely up. I also left the house today for like 2 hours, so stick that in your pipe and smoke it, Cochise!

These show up all the time when I check into hotels. It's just a pending charge to make sure you're good for any additional charges--varies by hotel in terms of what they put into pending but it hasn't been charged to your card. Even after you check out and the "real" charges go on your charge it often takes a few days for these to go away. Nothing to worry about in general.

####. Close cousin of mine, who is a poster here, got some awful news today. He's been in business school working like a maniac with extra credits trying to finish up this semester, while working full time, because his wife is due with their first child. He's been working and schooling like a maniac. They are set for a C-section in about 30 hours. Amidst all this crap, this afternoon he was diagnosed with lymphoma. He's freaking 27 years old. The bright side is I understand it's early stage (stage 2, non hodgkins), and so the prognosis is positive. He's starting treatment right away, and has the best doctors modern medicine can offer.

Ugh. So if you're the praying type, say one for one of our GBs here. Scary how life can kick you like that, out of nowhere, in what's supposed to be an awesome and exciting time for a healthy young guy. Also, if anyone has gone through this with family before and has any pointers on things we might do for him (we've already offered to watch the baby when they need a break, get groceries, whatever), I'm all ears.

TIA
Tpw oat cousin!

My boss is out of the office in Orlando for the next two days on a trip that "Platinum" award winners going on each year (different location each year). The neat part is he's a moron that literally sleeps at his desk regularly and all of the innovations were mine. He used to work with "the big boss" at a prior job and they go to lunch together every single day. Everyone hates him. :)

You need to find underhanded ways that get him in trouble and (better yet) get the big boss in trouble. That #### will end fast.

I think one of those pic-a-day gifs or vines would be awesome to anonymously distribute.

I'm not saying I can definitely get you in, but there's a decent shot.
You know PV that well?

Wait a minute....
Dude, shut it.

I thought I was in this thread and I ended up in the "official" pro wrestling thread so I start typing thinking I'm in here and there is a moment even online when you can feel people look at you.

I just felt that, in the official pro wrestling thread. That was extremely uncomfortable.
