GM's thread about nothing (56 Viewers)

Been running/walking the last 2+ weeks after not running on anything more than a treadmill a long time ago. I have to say it isn't easy, but the more I do it, the more I like it. Definitely helping my endurance and moving towards my summer weight loss goal. Happy my knees can take it. I run a little more each day. I think that's what helps keep me motivated.

Reading an article in Travel & Leasure as I wait in the TSA line on America's Worst Airports. The three NYC airports all rank in the top 6.

I'd have told him to stick it.
I did, and the lady in front of me at coffee shop gave me a weird look.

Sky Harbor is a POS for sure. DFW is awful too. Midway is bad. Newark is a major cesspool.
Chicago Midway? I fly in and out of there almost a dozen times a year. I think it's pretty awesome since all the renovations.
I will have to take your word on this...been a few years since I have been through there.

not sure what people are looking for, but the flights are almost always on time from my experiences. O'Hare flights are never on time it seems. Security lines have gotten worse of late due to some dumb changes they made, but have almost always been much shorter at Midway vs O'Hare too.

Food and dining options probably limited, but there's probably enough there to be sufficient. Would be nice if the highway exit was a little closer to the airport to make the commute shorter, but I think everything there runs pretty smoothly overall.

Least favorite airport?

Expecting plenty of LaGuardia votes here.
CDG - Paris
I was just there!Heard horror stories, but we had no issues luckily.

I think LaGuardia gets move vote. Awful place.
Had to connect to Stuttgart through there once...had an hour and barely made it

Plane landed in the middle of the airport, we took a bus around the entire airport, then walked around the entire airport, got on another bus and drove around the airport again to get on our connection

Neat airport

So I have to pee and I see this Brazilian broad walk out of the bathroom. I open the door and there is this really old broad trying to take a crap. Gal starts yelling "mama mama! “ and hugging me which was strange.
What's all this now?
On the train from Chicago to St. Louis yesterday. The bathroom makes a plane bathroom seem roomy. So when I saw a gal walk out, I just figured it wasn't occupied. Still don't understand why she started hugging me though. :lmao:

Oh the airport in Changchun airport is a bit sketchy too

After I cleared security some chinese equivalent of TSW started running after me, or so I thought. They were instead chasing some salad plate sized crab that had escaped someone's carry on

Also the Flavor Tang there served the worst food known to man. I ate some cheese flavored ham substance (possibly deer tail) and some perfume flavored cookies

Newark is the worst.

Atlanta sucks a knob.
Hey did you get your box of crap? I can't remember if you said anything, but I drink a lot and also don't pay attention to stuff.
I did get it. I also can't remember if I said anything, but I also drink a lot and don't pay attention to stuff I do.

It was awesome, thanks. Some quality selections in there as well as quality cheese. Three friends have already borrowed from the collection.

Thanks GB. I owe you a shot video.

Yo

The biggest problem with Midway is that you take your life in your hands driving down there. It's not exactly in the nicest part of Chicago.

I had an early morning flight out of midway and had my wife drive me there with my two young daughters. It was about 530 in the morning, and there were still some ladies of the night walking around. My five-year-old asked me why one woman was wearing fishnets.

"Because she doesn't look as fat to her potential clients that way."
