GM's thread about nothing (43 Viewers)

Sitting at the mechanics waiting for them to install a cracked, leaking radiator hose that they somehow missed when I had the yearly check done last month. :hot:

Brakes went out on my wife's Exploder last night. My MIL freaked out and wanted her to pull over immediately. My wife gutted it out and made it home despite her MIL threatening to jump out of the car. I drove it up to the mechanic in our neighborhood and you COULD use the brakes, but only by pushing to the floor-mat and I went to the emergency brake a time or two. What's that all about? I would suspect the husband of cutting the brake lines, but let's be honest....I can't install Netflix and I haven't gotten around to life insurance yet on her.

American made cars can blow me.

Serious question. Have a party to go to in a couple of weeks and want to get the hostess a gift. It's also her birthday around the same time. Really coming up short on what to get her. Any real ideas? TIA
You can never haver enough lube.
Trust me, when you are hung like an apple stem, there indeed can be too much lube.
I guess he should get her a giant dildo too then.
I don't think Jay Cutler will be available for about six months.

There's a leak somewhere and you're not getting any pressure in the braking system. I suspect you'll find fluid at one of the calipers or coming off the master cylinder. The emergency brake works because it's probably mechanical rather than hydraulic.

Yeah, this is what Pete told me this morning. I'm guessing this is probably a $50 fix tops, eh? :oldunsure:

I say you should take it to the shop and get some cracked, leaking brake lines installed

I got to 3rd base in HS because I drove a girl home from a party whose breaks didn't work in her car. It was a manual so I drove it using downshifting and the emergency brake. Got it to her house and her dad was home and thanked me and fixed it. She went down my pants for the trouble.

Should probably have had brakes in the car to start.

That's 3rd base now?

My old man smoked 2+ packs per day for at least 40 years. He's been fighting bladder cancer for 12+. It's not a coincidence.
ugh- sorry to hear BS. my dad got bladder cancer in his 30s. didn't smoke at all. then he got Prostate and finally pancreatic, the latter finally got him at 73. and an incredibly healthy 73- ran 3 days a week, perfect physical health...outside of the cancer. #### you, cancer.

Did you learn baseball from Tanner?

Last 4 check ups have been free of it. This is the 3rd time he's been given the all clear. That 2 years is the longest stretch since they started treating it, though. Hopeful.

She got to 3rd base with you. You didn't get to 3rd base with her.

Regardless, if you had intercourse with her, I hope you used a broken condom [/DR]

Someone* give me a Spotify playlist to listen to this afternoon while I play poker and finish this spreadsheet project I promised my boss I would finish before I leave.

*Tanner need not apply.
Oh please. My playlist rules.
Very late -

Uptempo eclectic mix used when I need to dive into something for work (Tanner and GPJ will probably hate it):

Guessing that's your gift idea too.

Portland does BBQ about as well as it does Mexican food, but Podnah's is great. Now, would I stand in line for two hours like they do in Austin? I would not. Would I drive 90 minutes to eat there? I perhaps would.

Little known fact: Podnah's serves up a terrific Bloody Mary, enjoyed by Texas Swedes and Albino Winos alike.
:hifive: the blurry was excellent, the BBQ was, well, bbq'd

Going to get a burger with grilled cheese sandwiches as the bun. I had Podnahs before on your recommendation. Good for brunch IMO.
