Exactly.
Like Mulholland Drive in black and white. Not totally, but reminiscent of.
Probably not the greatest title. Just a cool video.

The music video for "Going Back to Cali" was directed by Ric Menello. It was shot in black and white and was filmed mostly at two Los Angeles landmarks, the Venice neighborhood and the Griffith Observatory, as an homage to two of Menello's favorite films, Touch of Evil (1958) and Rebel Without a Cause (1955), respectively.[1]

I think the song is too long, but has a great idea behind it. Maybe in execution it comes up a little short for its length. But I enjoy the blank verse element of it. It has meter, but not necessarily a completed or constant rhyme.

Not LL's best song, but real reason this hit big when it came out was the video.
LL in his drop-down, sportin' a Kangol, girls dancing in bikinis, a NYC guy rollin' thru Cali...
