Going to Redskins Training Camp Thursday (1 Viewer)

The biggest thing, by far, would be news about how Morris looks catching passes. Because 30-35 catches a year would be a HUGE boost to his PPR value, and there's lots of stuff floating around that the Redskns think he can be utilized that way.

Any insights on punt and kick returners posted over to the Returner thread would be greatly appreciated.

The punt returner is almost guaranteed to be Crawford at this point.

Kick returners up in the air I believe. Lots of guys getting work there.

Also interested to see info on this.

Let me know how Josh Morgan is looking in practices??? If he looks sharp and is getting targeted much. I was going to add him in my Dyn League as a WR4/WR5 type. 24 team Dyn league with 32 player rosters.

He should absolutely be rostered there. Finally 100% healthy and Hankerson still hasn't put it all together.

I was there on Thursday morning (although I spent a bit of time running down my 4 year old) and am curious what you saw. The things I noticed were:

- Garcon looked labored running routes and didn't look natural walking. There was noticeable hitch in his step most of the time but he's obviously the guy here.

- Hankerson body language looked defeated. By that I mean he ran routes and made his way back to the line like a guy that didn't expect the ball to come his way. Also, and most disturbing, when the ball DID come his way there was an audible "pop" that nobody else had. It's like the guy was catching with frying pans. I've pretty much lost all hope for the guy being a productive fantasy WR. Probably best suited as a blocker on big/run packages.

- Paulson had a lot of targets from Cousins while running with the ones. Seems like they have a good rapport and he caught everything.

- Reed is a big moving TE. Nice hands and looks very fast for a big guy running the seam. That might be something we see early on with him.

- Jamison looked very natural running and catching the wheel route.

- Looks like they are manufacturing ways to get Robinson involved and Santana is still moving and playing well.

- Henderson can barely walk at this point

- Josh Morgan will have a role. He looks fine. Unspectacular as always but will be tough to get off the field.

Garcon, hankerson and Fred Davis looked great today! Almost got an rg3 autograph...almost.

Rg3 caught a random pass from someone, then juked out some scrub. The guy fell over, it was great. They were just messing around, but the knee looks fine obviously.

This is a great post. Thanks for your observations.

In terms of targets it kind of sounds like Santana Moss, Josh Morgan and Jordan Reed will be competing for the portion of the passing pie that does not go to Garcon and Davis. How do you think that will play out?

Garcon and Davis are coming back from injuries as well, which could lead to more targets for these 3 if they do miss time.

I haven't heard this. Any one have news or seen in practice signs that morris could be used more in the passing game?

I really have no idea how the target distribution will work out and judging from the local news reports, I'm not sure anyone else does either. It does seem to me that the depth chart is pretty clear at this point w/Garcon, Morgan, Moss/Robinson. I wouldn't overlook Robinson here. They seem to like him on bubble screens and short/intermediate routes. The TE spot is Davis' this year if he is as healthy as he claims (and looks) to be, but if he goes down or gets nicked up there will be a committee approach. Davis is on record as just wanting to win regardless of who gets the PT and he realizes there is talent behind him.
