Good NFL Network Article (1 Viewer)

That's a pretty long article.

It's good to see the history of, what appears to be, a botched series of big dollar decisions by the NFL.

Just because you've got a product doen't mean that you necessarily know how to sell it.

I've got an idea for the NFL: "W" can be had on the cheapo to like lead the negoiations from this point forward.

He's got the "Methods of Mass Distribution" thing down pat. :pics:

Why do people feel the need to continually grind their political axe in a football forum?

I loved the quote by Tagliabue talking to Comcast in nearer to the beginning, "Sometimes the owners have to learn the hard way." To me this brings to mind some of the real dummies running franchises like Snyder, Jones, Bidwell, Brown, etc.

Does anyone want to discuss, you know, the article?
That article confrims what I have thought. The NFL is used to getting its way and instead of focusing solely on getting to as many homes as possible, the league had another agenda and believed that the cable bully was going to bow to them. IMO, a case where two sides who are used to getting thier dug in heels instead of providing the best service for its customers.

Yeah, those were my thoughts too. Not sure how so many people here can defend the NFL in this.

econd, the network nearly tripled its license fee to the cable operators.
Right there that is the biggest issue, they want something like 50 cents or something outrageous.Comcast said ok but you are going to a pay tier....And how in the world is keeping an exclusive with Direct TV making them money?
