Good one week start- Maurice Morris (1 Viewer)

I know he hasn't set the world on fire since filling in for SA, but I have a feeling that Maurice Morris will have a good week.

The Seahawks/Viking game has the potential to be a shootout. I'm thinking 28-24 type game. Even if the yardage isn't great, I could see 80+ yards and a score or two.

In a week where SJax, T.Jones, McAllister, and Gore have a bye, owners looking for a nice one week fill-in may want to consider Mo-Mo.

The Vikings are 4th in the NFL in rushing yards allowed at 74.4 pg. What makes you think that this game is going to be a shoot out, especially with the Vikings offense basically stinking up the joint this year. The most points they have given up this year is 19 to the Bears. If anything, Seattle will beat them through the air. The Vikings are ranked 16th against the pass.

Well, I could be wrong, but I think that the Vikings defensive numbers are a little misleading. They haven't faced a good offense yet. Two of the teams that they've faced (carolina and Washington) were playing without their best defensive players.I think that their defense is going to have a real problem stopping the Seahawk's offense. Especially in Seattle. As far as their rushing yards allowed stat, I didn't say Morris was going to blow up for 150 yards on them. He may not even reach 100, but if the passing game gets rolling, that's going to present a lot of red zone/goaline opportunities. That's why a touchdown or two is possible.

Shootout? I would think the opposite with the Vikes plodding offense. Childress needs to slow the game down to give them a chance to win.

I wouldn't bet on that.. The Vikes have been great all year against the run &

I agree with Red Raiders... the Vikes are so boring on Offense they will try &

run to keep the Hawks off the field.. low scoring affair in this one..

I think that Minnesota will, in fact, try to move the chains and keep Seattle off the field. The success they have is going to go a long way in deciding how that turns out. They would love to try to pull out a 13-10 win, but I don't see that happening up in Seattle.I can see an early lead for Seattle (14-0, possibly), and Minnesota realizing that they are going to need to score some points.Hey, I've been wrong so many times about these games that I can't even count. We'll see, I guess.

Hi Newbie.

Minnesota hasn't allowed one back to rush for more than 78 yards in a game yet this year.

They haven't exactly faced a great rushing O this year but Seattle can hardly qualify as one.

Granted they faced a Portisless Skins team; then Carolina who at the time wasn't setting the world on fire; a Chicago team that is throwing better than running; McGahee had a decent game with 78 rushing and a touch on the ground - the best a RB has done vs. the Vikes this year; they did shut down Kevin Jones.

Mo could possibly get close to 100 yards combined and a chance of one score but I think even expecting those numbers is a pipe dream.

Could do worse I guess with all of the backs out for byes.

Hey, Swing. How's it going?Like you said, the Vikes defensive stats look real good on paper. I'm going to need to see them shut down a good offense before I annoint them a top defense. If they can limit the Seahawks in Seattle, it will prove a lot. We'll see.

We saw what he was capable of as SA's backup. We predicted it when he became the starter. And now we've witnessed his ineffectiveness over the past few weeks.

To expect a "value play" is simply wishful thinking.

I'm starting Morris because I have to, but I'm not very optimistic.

The Vikings defense has played well and Morris didn't even do that much against the pathetic Rams rush def.

wow, what a bad analysis. Vikes 06 is not the old Vikes teams, they actually do well against the run dude

These are not your father's Minnesota Vikings--that D is pretty good.

I knew you would be in here. I notice you never came back to the Turner, Norwood, and Morris thread from last week. :lmao: While I liked Morris' chances last week against St. Louis, I'm not nearly as optimistic this week. The Vikes have looked good in stopping the run and Seatlle's Oline has not been opening many holes this year. I have him in 2 leagues and he will not be cracking the starting lineup. That being said, if you are needy for a RB this week you could do alot worse as a fill in.
