12 team 'pseudo' dynasty league. Each team can protect 3 players for 4 years - year 1 they are drafted counts as the first year.
I won the league last year so I have the last pick in each round - draft is not snaked.
I had traded my first round pick (1.12) for Cedric Benson and a 10th round pick (10.11).
While I had Benson, I was protecting him along with LT and Marvin Harrison. (Surprised I had LT and won my league last year?)
I just traded Benson and the pick I got when I acquired him (10.11) to another team for the #4 overall pick in our draft. Keep in mind that our 1st round is really the 4th round because 36 players are off the board from being protected before the draft starts.
With the #4 overall, I turned around and traded it away to get back Thomas Jones and a 3rd round pick (3.6).
IMO, Jones vs. Benson is a toss up. On the other hand I got an additional 3rd round pick instead of an additional 10th round pick. Furthermore, I am a Jets fan so I get a guy on my team, and I live in NY so I will get to see all of his games because I don't have the NFL package (building doesn't allow dishes - ugh)!
Thoughts????? Good move? Bad move?
