I like the Kitna/Campbell example and as a Kitna owner I will target that one. Kitna/Losman have the same bye week so there is some issue there. We'll be breaking down the schedules and working out the best formulas/options that we can as we get closer to the season. THere have been a few seasons where the QBBC article has knocked it out of the park (I'm remembering the Trent Green / Matt Hasselbeck year).A personal early guess - without crunching the schedule and looking at ADP - is that a Jon Kitna / Jason Campbell or Jon Kitna / JP Losman combo could produce some fruit this season....
Garcia/Culter?ookook said:Kitna is ranked a little high for my usual intent and purpose, although not by much (QB9 ADP).I tend to wait until every other team has a QB, so I am looking in the QB12 to QB18 range that have friendly schedules and then I take a couple in a row. At a glance, E. Manning and Delhome might work okay. Maybe Hassleback with one of those guys.Any thoughts on Defensive combinations?
If that means Carr, then one has to worry about taking Steve Smith as one of the first two WRs of the board, no?Delhomme will be out of a job by Halloween.
There's a three page article on DTBC in the FBG mag. There will be an updated version of that article in August that will hit the website. Additionally, there will be at least (and probably just) one QBBC article in a few weeks, and it will include QBBC for those in 2-QB leagues.ookook said:Any thoughts on Defensive combinations?
I admit, it's risky, but I think it will work out. I disagree on Houston's OL, it's improving. Ahman Green and Owen Daniels aren't bad either. You will not find a bigger Steve McNair fan on the planet then me, but I wouldn't walk across the street to have him on my fantasy team, much less in a combo with an unproven starter on a new team with 1 skill player and no O-line.
right now I am looking at BRoethlisberger/JCampbell(Wk14 looks bad with this though) but I always wait for this article to make my final formulations.Chase Stuart said:There's a three page article on DTBC in the FBG mag. Losman will be your every week guy by week 3I'm actually going to rely on a QBBC of McNair, Losman, and Schaub in a league. We'll see.
We actually get a point per completion, so that shifts things towards McNair a bit. I'm guessing I willl be mainly using McNair and Losman, but who knows at this point.Losman will be your every week guy by week 3I'm actually going to rely on a QBBC of McNair, Losman, and Schaub in a league. Even so, I'm loving JP this year. The best part about the QBBC strategy is that sometimes you end up with a guy that's a solid every-week option by accident. We actually get a point per completion, so that shifts things towards McNair a bit.
