Good QBBC Options (1 Viewer)

Have there been any good threads yet on QBBC options for this season?

For that matter, what about denfense by committee choices?

I tried, but the search engine is not my friend today....

We'll be breaking down the schedules and working out the best formulas/options that we can as we get closer to the season. THere have been a few seasons where the QBBC article has knocked it out of the park (I'm remembering the Trent Green / Matt Hasselbeck year).

A personal early guess - without crunching the schedule and looking at ADP - is that a Jon Kitna / Jason Campbell or Jon Kitna / JP Losman combo could produce some fruit this season....

I like the Kitna/Campbell example and as a Kitna owner I will target that one. Kitna/Losman have the same bye week so there is some issue there.

Kitna is ranked a little high for my usual intent and purpose, although not by much (QB9 ADP).

I tend to wait until every other team has a QB, so I am looking in the QB12 to QB18 range that have friendly schedules and then I take a couple in a row.

At a glance, E. Manning and Delhome might work okay. Maybe Hassleback with one of those guys.

Any thoughts on Defensive combinations?

Garcia/Culter?

Get Leftwich on the cheap. Always a good PPG performer (top-10) and he's got:

a.) a solid running game to open things up

b.) is in a contract year and his play this year will solely affect how much money he will get in the off season

c.) perhaps the best set of offensive weapons around him that he will get/has got in Jacksonville

I know its a broken record but he does perform well on a game-to-game basis. A healthy stretch obviously is what you look for but the sort of production you can get out of him has some serious upside, especially at his ADP.

If you want to go super cheap and load up at other positions, Schaub/McNair looks like a decent combo. QB18 and QB26, doesn't get much cheaper than that. Their easy weeks look like they match up fairly well right now.

I could see Roethlisberger/Eli working too at QB15 and QB16.

Right now, I'm working with VY/Ben in one league (and Tom Brady/Eli/Schaub in another. )

You will not find a bigger Steve McNair fan on the planet then me, but I wouldn't walk across the street to have him on my fantasy team, much less in a combo with an unproven starter on a new team with 1 skill player and no O-line.

There's a three page article on DTBC in the FBG mag. There will be an updated version of that article in August that will hit the website. Additionally, there will be at least (and probably just) one QBBC article in a few weeks, and it will include QBBC for those in 2-QB leagues.

I admit, it's risky, but I think it will work out. I disagree on Houston's OL, it's improving. Ahman Green and Owen Daniels aren't bad either.

right now I am looking at BRoethlisberger/JCampbell(Wk14 looks bad with this though) but I always wait for this article to make my final formulations.

I'm actually going to rely on a QBBC of McNair, Losman, and Schaub in a league. We'll see.
Losman will be your every week guy by week 3
We actually get a point per completion, so that shifts things towards McNair a bit. I'm guessing I willl be mainly using McNair and Losman, but who knows at this point.
Even so, I'm loving JP this year. The best part about the QBBC strategy is that sometimes you end up with a guy that's a solid every-week option by accident.
