I am asking this question in the IDP forum because a defensive player is involved. I have been offered Dwight Freeney, Bucs WR Michael Clayton and a very late 3rd round rookie draft pick for Kevin Jones. Do I make the trade?

I don't think so unless DEs in your league can score very competitivly with skill position players.

Even if they do, M. Clayton hasn't shown anything except for a spurt (rookie yr). Late 3rd won't be much, but an IDP..depending on your league size. Freeney was a TOTAL bust last year in FF. I'd say absolutely NO!!!!

In most Fantasy football scoring systems the DE are the lowest scoring position OVERALL. I say no way on this. Im high on KJ

There should be an owner who'll be willing to part with much more than that for KJ.

And if you're on the '2' end of a 2-for-1, you'd want to be getting plenty of potential. I see none in that deal, so a big NO to making the trade as others have said in here thus far.

If your league separates DEs from DTs, and gives high points for sacks, I would at least consider it, but even then would probably say no. I am also assuming that there is not Salarycap/years type information to consider.

A big NO!!

Freeney was a bust last years, Clayton didn't prove anything and the risk that you hit a Ok player with a 3rd pick is slim. KJ is a good RB.

Well with consensus being 'no' and the strong opinions against this deal, I am not going to make the trade unless the other guy and offer more. Thanks everyone for the advice.
