Goonies 2 (1 Viewer)

Most of them I understand. Their 'careers' aren't going anywhere. Sean Austin I don't get. He must have done the movie for nostalgic reasons. Rudy and LOTR gave him credibility(of sorts).

I wouldn't put too much stock in this. From a recent interview with Donner (Blurb was from mid-October:)

1. I seem to be spending a lot of time writing about Richard Donner lately. That’s not a complaint, he’s a great director and the man should get more praise. He should also be allowed to make more movies, be them Lethal Weapons or not.Donner has announced that a sequel to his 80’s classic The Goonies has been scrapped. Donner told Variety: “We tried really hard, and Steven (Spielberg) said, ‘Let’s do it.’ We had a lot of young writers submit work, but it just didn’t seem to call for it”However, if you love The Goonies there might be a musical. Donner says: “I’m in the process of trying to get it done as a musical on Broadway. Wouldn’t that be great?”****, I really don’t know. Music by Cyndi Lauper?Source: Variety
Also by a quote by Feldman: (from Dec 2)
Corey Feldman has blasted rumors of a Goonies sequel. The actor - who starred as Clark "Mouth" Devereaux in the 1985 comedy film - insists there will be no Goonies 2, despite recent reports suggesting otherwise. He says, "There is no Goonies 2."I'm sorry but it's just not going to happen. It seems every 6 months the rumor mill gets started up again and people run around both excited and angry, and eventually I have to respond."I would have loved to do this movie under the direction of Richard Donner again but it is just not meant to be."
I'd love to see a decent sequel to it that doesn't stomp all over the memories of the original, but I think the chances of a sequel being made are slim, with a good one's chances almost non-existent.

Yeah no info on IMDB

I'd love to see this movie get done, but only if it gets done the right way (ie w/ all the stars from the orig). I think it would be a great movie for dads to bring their kids to and sort of bridge a generational gap.

Back in 2000 I was managing an apartment building in Hollywood and one of my tenants was Jeff "Chunk" Cohen. He's a Hollywood lawyer now and looks nothing like he did as a kid, not nearly as fat as I thought he would be. I am sure he would jump all over the opportunity to get in front of the screen again.

From the useless trivia file: He apparently became his class president at Cal running on the campaign "VOTE FOR CHUNK!!!"

If I was any of these characters I would do the movie for free if they were not willing to pay me.

It will probably suck, but if I am them, I am IN
