You can't just you have a 'source' without explaining how they have any connection to the NFL.

they were talking about a version of this earlier in the week on the fan in CLE. something like gordon to NE for Mallet + a pick, and the pick was the issue (i.e. cle wants a 1st and ne is offering a 3rd, etc.) doubt it's true though. allegedly lombardi really liked mallet before getting the gm job.
