Call Otis. I am sure he has a guy who can do it for $20K.

Seriously, what looks unreasonable?
i just thought that was a little steep for a day's work but iv'e never done this before so would have no idea. still can't believe the difference in quotes.

Or. It is restoration. I was thinking it was the actual pieces and how cheap it was. I have no idea about that.

So is this to clean and restore existing surfaces?
Yeah there is some damage and touchup spots all over. its almost 20 years old but this isn't the first refurbishing. we are not pulling out the faucets and doing a full blown restoration if thats what you mean. I didn't want to go that far.

Done deal. Heard back from the lower estimate and just said he had to come down for the job. he said he'd take 10% off. I said we had to go under 2000 blah, blah and we settled at 1900. Assist goes to jon mex for the nudging. saved $400. and I don't have to get another guy out here for another quote. wasn't that easy to find many limestone repair cos.

the aburdly high quote guy grossly over-estimated square footage i ended up noticing. it also took call-backs from me to even get him to finish the quote. two days! lazy *******. and the quote only listed square footage, few details. when he calls back for the job i am going to tell him that he just missed and i had to take another bid for $4900. He will say he would have beat it and hopefully continue to try and screw the #### out of other people until business dries up. thx fbgs!
