You are always welcome, like anyone else, to debate me regarding politics out in the open in the PSF. Like anyone else who tries to do that, if you take that path, I'll completely destroy you. You get to decide.
Whitmer's path isn't hard here. Her father was a big shot as an attorney, Blue Cross executive for nearly two decades and a Michigan political power player/lobbyist. Blue Cross/Blue Shield shoveled in enough money to Whitmer, directly or though linkage to other heavy hitters with related interests, in public to choke a horse. An entire field of horses. This doesn't include their ancillary influence in other sectors of the state. This is similar to what happened with Andrew Cuomo and the Big Corporate Medical Lobby there. Whitmer opposed the single payer health care model and what a coincidence that this position lines up with what is the most profitable for Blue Cross/Blue Shield. The powerful lobbyists who paid Whitmer big cash wanted COVID19 patients turfed into nursing homes because it was simply more profitable to shovel them out. Die quietly in a corner where the media won't go. This only speeds up the rate in which Big Corporate Medical Lobbies want to kill long term care facilities. In part by choking out their ability to get and hold insurance and then by turning them into informal state sanctioned death camps. You can't rack up hospitals bills that insurance needs to pay if you are dead. These elderly are people who worked all their lives to pay into the system. But they don't form a large powerful voting block and their utility as tax payers is minimal to none and they are in an expensive high risk group for operations like Blue Cross/Blue Shield. Then the slaughter is all covered up. Then the Michigan AG, a Whitmer identity politics ally, REFUSES to investigate any of it. Whitmer gives a public payout to her outgoing state health director, a long time Obama acolyte, so he will sign a confidentiality agreement and buy his silence. Just to be safe, Whitmer pushes in legislation ( MHB 6030) to shield entities like Blue Cross/Blue Shield, but particularly their executives, much in the vein of what Cuomo did in NY, from future liability regarding COVID19 and even for fraud.
Whitmer is a career lifelong nepotism based politician who has NEVER earned her bones and proven herself in the private sector NOR without the patronage of those indebted to her father and his political allies. Of course she's completely tone deaf to the citizens of Michigan while soaking neck deep in identity politics. She has no idea what it's like to actually work for a living. She has no idea what it's like to live check to check. She has no idea what it feels like to NOT be surrounded by private security and law enforcement tasked to protect her, unlike the businesses she left adrift to be torched and burned out in rioting and looting. She keeps getting her government paycheck plus all her political pork while small businesses, many minority owned, faced her lockdowns and went under.
She sent people to die, to appease the corporate cronies who see human beings as cattle, and got paid for it.
And all the ridiculous lies and excuses and tone deaf actions that flaunt her power is just spitting in all your faced. She's not even trying very hard to conceal what she's doing. But like I said several posts above, there comes a time when dumb happens so often, and now it's mixed with egregious corruption, that it's idiotic as well as criminal and plain psychopathic in nature.
And if that's not the cherry on top, this will be - I recognize there are traditional liberals, moderates and undecideds here in the PSF. Maybe they don't post often or at all, but they are here. The establishment DNC needed Michigan's electoral votes in the 2020 cycle and they needed ANY warm bodied woman with some name recognition in the right place to fulfill the identity politics playbook, so Gretchen Whitmer was almost your Vice President Of The United States. I get why people hate Donald Trump. He's a 4th rate failed reality TV star, a stone cold narcissist and a grifter. I supported many of his policies but accept he's just exhausting as person. I get why people are exhausted by a Matt Gaetz or a Cocaine Mitch. I'll be the first to tell you Paul Manafort and Jared Kushner are the worst type of grifters and open criminals and should both be thrown in prison. But if anything should drive you towards the Conservative viewpoint, it should be how close this nation came to ending up with someone like Whitmer in real power. Whatever you think of Trump and let's forget about him since he's long gone, let's not pretend that having someone like Whitmer behind an aging and tottering Biden isn't plainly terrifying. This lady is an idiotic corrupt criminal and treats her own citizens like serfs in some fiefdom you only read about in the worst parts of a history book. Based on money laundering and financial extortion, the DNC gave you Kamala Harris and Gretchen Whitmer. And in 2024, you'll likely be given Harris, AOC and, if he barely survives recall, Gavin Newsom. It's like the DNC is begging you to look across the aisle with that lineup of woe.
