Grant, Lewis, Gore, Bush, Jacobs, Maroney, McGahee (1 Viewer)

If anyone can distinguish between these guys, I'm all ears.....

Ryan Grant

Pros: An argument could be made that he was the best Fantasy RB down the stretch last year. Has nose for end-zone.

Cons: New QB, shaky interior line, questionable hammy.

Jamal Lewis

Pros: Offense should be able to move the ball. Unquestioned ball-carrier. Nice offensive line. Gets the ball in red-zone

Cons: Lots of wear & tear. Has lost a step. Was last year a fluke?

Frank Gore

Pros: May have the most talent out of this group. Will definitely be focus of offense.

Cons: Offense will struggle to consistently move the ball. Mike Martz. Has not scored many TD's in the past.

Reggie Bush

Pros: Can take it the distance rushing and receiving. Offense should be explosive. Has a lot of upside.

Cons: Not real tough in short yardage. Deuce may still red-zone carries.

Brandon Jacobs

Pros: May have most upside of the group. Produces like a 1st rounder when he plays.Good offensive line

Cons: May have most downside of the group. Injury Prone. Ward/Bradshaw also get lots of carries.

Laurence Maroney

Pros: Starting RB on highest scoring Offense. Has shown that he can carry the load if needed.

Cons: Didn't get red zone carries last year. What will Bill do this year?

Willis McGahee

Pros: Would be top ten RB if healthy. Had statistical best year last year.

Cons: Can't even jog yet. Ogden retired. Offense should struggle. Ray Rice.

Anyone?

No one is standing out to me.

How different would these rank in non PPR & PPR league?

to me Gore doesnt belong here, he's head n shoulders above the other RB's you've listed

I gave Willis a *, assuming healthy this is where I would grab him, that risk slides him some though

i like bicycle's list. and agree with everyone wondering why you have gore in this tier. and what about jones-drew?
Yeah, you should sub in Jones Drew for Gore. With that being said, I'd rank them in non-ppr:MJDJamalJacobsMcGaheeBushGrantMaroney
He's going slightly later than these guys, but I'd also add Thomas Jones:pros: Favre. Nice passing weapons in Cotch/Coles. Much improved O-line with Faneca/Woody/Ferguson. GREAT blocking FB in Tony Richardson.cons: Only 2 rushing TDs last year. Age/wear & tear. Leon Washington. Also, I'd put LJ in as a giant mystery, too..pros: been a monster before. clear goal line option. will be focus of offense.cons: worst o-line in NFL. terrible passing game. lots of worn tread on tires.Frankly, all RB's after Steven Jackson at #5 have question marks to me. Hell, even SJax does. But LT, AP, Westy, Addai, SJAx are about the only sure bet RBs out there. Hence the larger-than-past-years run on WRs -- in just about every 12-team mock I've done, no fewer than 7 WRs go in the first 19 picks: Moss, Wayne, TO, Braylon, Andre J., Colston, Fitz -- and the top 4 QB's (Brady, Peyton, Romo, Brees) in rounds 1-3.

Man...maybe I'm just not seeing it with Gore this year.

Is he still head and shoulders above the rest in a basic, TD-heavy league.

I agree with you. I would definately put Gore right in this group. I see Jamal Lewis The sure thing in this group.LewisGoreLJMJDGrantMcgaheeJacobsBushMaroneyIs how I have them rankedBut I do find that after the Top 5-7 it is a big mush of questions and can easily be ranked differently by everyone.

I am glad I know enough to already have my own correct opinion on these players. If I was looking for advice this would sink me...Gore is much better than any of these including Lewis.

that being said. Jamal has a great chance to produce well this season, and IIRC out produced everyone in this list last season. Granted I dont think he will out produce Gore this year, but obviously your crystal ball is better than mine.
