In Japan (on the Famicom) it actually came out as a "Famicom Disk System" game instead of a normal Famicom game... They added the Battery Pack for America because they decided that Americans wouldn't buy the extra Disk System add-on...The advantage? The Disk System games still can save... Most of the battery backup cartridges have dead batteries and no longer can save a game from one session to the next...Good pick. First game to ever use a battery pack. I always hated passwords and still do. God bless emulators that I don't have to deal with them anymore on those games.1.5 The Legend of Zelda-NES Role Playing Game
It's impossible to think in a turn-based strategy game and forget Civilization II. It's undoubtedly the best in the genre, and even many years after its release there are lots of fans still playing Civ II.The game is not graphically stunning, even for it's time but the game itself is so in depth so engrossing that you probably won't notice too much.
Nintendo Seal of Quality is helpful... There are a TON of great NES games, its actually kind of ridiculous the percentage of NES games that are good...
