Anybody read his bio? It was pretty good
Lots of details, still claims he's not a snitch.

Weird, I've never heard that song.Just looked at a list of songs, I have definitely heard Ramblin Man
He did not sing that one.Just looked at a list of songs, I have definitely heard Ramblin Man
Good opp (appears you are somewhat taking) to learn about one of the great American bands...So people would get angry and tell me there is no way I could have not heard of him. To be fair, I originally quoted someone else who had no idea who he was and agreed.
No way. Allman played here last year and it was a big deal. Plus other than Portland and Eugene, Oregon is a redneck placeThat world is called Oregon.
Not a hippie band. Southern rock. Let me help you out. https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=https://m.youtube.com/watch%3Fv%3DhIRBLUh3MGM&ved=0ahUKEwiQ9Km5p8DTAhXLv1QKHajqCmsQt9IBCFwwCw&usg=AFQjCNFyrmKUE_Gc7-DJuTQJYXCTIlL7-A&sig2=zPTv4T-5n60j1R48biRupgI would probably recognize an Allman Brothers song if I heard it but would have no clue who sung it. Allman Brothers are a hippie band? I remember growing up when the Greatful Dead had a concert at Autzen Stadium and our neighborhood was flooded with all these hippies with tie die shirts. That was very annoying. I lived very close to Autzen growing up.
I have a friend who is a huge dead fan and used to follow them across the country.I would probably recognize an Allman Brothers song if I heard it but would have no clue who sung it. Only heard of Freddy Mercury of the ones listed above. Admittedly not a big music guy though.
I am a Mormon from Utah and I know who the Allman Brothers areIf you are over 30 and lived in the US your whole life anywhere with the exception of a Mormon enclave in Utah or some other religious cult it is shocking that you have never heard of the Allman brothers.
Assuming you are white.
if not then it's not shocking in the least
Paul McCartneyOnly heard of Freddy Mercury of the ones listed above. Admittedly not a big music guy though.
Now you're just making up names. You want Noonan to believe there's a guy named Bob Plant?Paul McCartney
Eric Clapton
Neil Young
Robert Plant
Garth Brooks
Adam Levine

It's Bobby Plant ...noob.Now you're just making up names. You want Noonan to believe there's a guy named Bob Plant?
Beg to differ, my translucent friend.Yes, like all bands that emerged from the late 60s/early 70s, they could be thrown into the category of 'hippie band',
Just DL'd it. Thanks, GB!
Master of the understatement.Only heard of Freddy Mercury of the ones listed above. Admittedly not a big music guy though.
They had a ton of crossover appeal with the deadheads. I have heard them tease dead songs in jams before. St. Stephen for one.Beg to differ, my translucent friend.
The Allmans were the furthest thing from a hippie band as was possible at the time.
Maybe Bobby Sherman was more an outlier, but only him.
You are right I forgot that Dickie Betts played lead for the OsmondsYou're thinking of the Osmonds.
That is extremely good for youI am a Mormon from Utah and I know who the Allman Brothers are

Like Nelly?
Those 2 albums (counting the one released in the 90's) are probably the best live music ever captured on tape. Not a bad not on any of it.Finishing up Fillmore East in the hammock with a few beers. Godspeed.
