Greg Camarillo/Jabar Gaffney (1 Viewer)

I've seen Camarillo flying off the WW in almost all my leagues. Weirdly enough it might be a positive for those looking elsewhere. I just found Mike Thomas on my WW in my 14-teamer.

I just don't see this guy getting consistently open. If there was a really big threat on the other side of the field like Rice I could see him sneaking around zone coverage and getting open consistently, but basically I think this is a guy most teams can put their CB2 on with confidence without specific safety help.

The reason I like Hartline a little better than Camarillo is that he does have that big-name threat on the other side of the field in Marshall, and could get ignored. Plus Henne was locked on to him in preseason. I have a feeling though that Miami's offense did not tip their hand at all this preseason, and we will see a whole lot of Marshall week 1.
Correct. Marshall will grab at least 8-9 balls this weekend. I think your under estimating Cam a little. The guy runs crisp routes and has great hands. I understand where your coming from with no true number one now that Rice is out. But Favre will lock onto this guy I just know it. He is a PPR gem wating to happen this year. If Rice does not return I have him marked for over 70 receptions easy.

I think Camarillo has a chance to put up some consistent WR 3 numbers - 5 for 50 week in, week out, with a few TD's sprinkled in. He wont put up huge numbers IMO, but I think he could develop into a pretty reliable double-digit guy in PPR leagues.

High floor, low ceiling kind of guys, IMO. You don't see guys like this wandering from team to team if they have 1,000/10 type of potential. There's a reason they are journeymen, usually.

That said, they both have good situations. I think Denver stinks, and it would be out-of-character for Favre to lock onto a possession/no-deep-ball kind of guy. Plus, the Vikes will be pounding the rock this year.

16 game stats: 65/800 for both. Floor, 50/680, Ceiling 75/950... IMO. Probably both good values for where they are being drafted. Camarillo probably irrelevant if Rice comes back.

What do you guys think of Camarillo now? Favre seemed to get a lot more comfortable when he came in. I know he only had 1 catch but something is telling me this is gonna be the guy.

Saw a projection of 7 catches this week on one site (not this one) and a TD. I'd take that and have to consider him starting if I thought that would play out.He only played seven snaps against the Saints. Can he really jump up that much in 10 days?

I do think he will play more snaps this week but its hard to say how many. I'm not sure how much upside he has unless Harvin or Berrian get demoted because as it is now he's only the third receiver. But I do feel like there is more here than meets the eye. Can he take Berrians spot? He is a totally different receiver.

Bump

Anyone else jump aboard for this weeks game? This is a great sneaky start this week as a WR3 or 4.
