Greg Camarillo WR Miami (1 Viewer)

Ok, so obviously we're talking deep PPR leagues only here, but what can Miami homers tell me about GC? Week 1 he was announced a surprise starter, catches a few balls. Week 2, Hagan starts in front of him (GC mentions in press that they are rotating guys but it seems like a meritocracy), but GC goes on to lead the team in targets & catches anyway.

I'm assuming this means we'll see GC start this week in NE. (?)

What is this kid's potential for 08? With Noodle Arm at QB, it seems like an underneath possession guy like GC could put up some consistent stats. I haven't really been able to see him play save a couple highlights, but he does look like a Welker Jr. (and not just because he is short & white ... though that helps.)

Any insight welcome.

He was targeted on an end zone throw I know. Nothing really stood out, but he did seem to have a knack of finding spots in the coverage to get open. I picked him up too in a deep PPR league, you never know. On a side note, the Dolphins were starting to use Bess a bit more too (he also returned kicks, which is pretty useful in return leagues)

He started both Miami games already.
Did he? I thought he started Week 1 but then Hagan started Week 2? Or was it Ginn-Camarillo WK1 and then Hagan-Camarillo WK2? If that's the case, I like the guy and might stash him on the bottom of my roster.Something reliable should hopefully emerge from that offense. Right?

Get Greg Camarillo active.

Real Sharks know when to make adjustments. Take myself for example, who benched Brady in favor of Warner, sat Moss and started Jennings, spot started Stecker over FWP, rolled the dice with Scheffler. These are the adjustments the sharks make to rocket themselves into the Stratosphere of the Great White. We do not rely solely on projections. We rely on an inherent clairvoyance. A little voice that says "Get-Greg-Camarillo-active". So sit back and whine over Joe's projections. Meanwhile I'm uncorking a bottle of DP coasting to another Championship in my big money league.

Finally a shark around here thinks like me! :goodposting: The stecker over FWP though?

Hey we can;t win them all though. I left Bruce and Stewart on bench costing me a 60 weekly hi

and that's just a start to my last week goofs alone! .

As for Camarillo I have not seen him much yet in my own eyes to go one way or other. But he's outperforming GINN so far easily so there must be something there Parcells & company likes.

I think I will roll the dice a couple leagues at least where I can use some more receiver depth.

He's available every one of my leagues I think.

You sharks think he has more BACK END bench potentional then SAY Breaston? Wade now Rice is out? A. Bryant? C.Taylor? I think it's worth the risk though his hi end would not be as hi as Bryant from what I've seen so far at least. Could be another Welker in the makeing! NEVER KNOW

Thanks Jim.. Makes sense now. slow willie burned me the one and only league I ever owned him last year! Will never own him again and Stecker did well with his chances last year. Now SLOW willie has a decent ADP he is actually performing as a RB-1 again. Or was his week 1 his total TD'S for the year. :excited:

From Wikipedia:

Greg Camarillo was born in Redwood City, CA to a Mexican father and a Hungarian mother. He turned down Harvard and chose Stanford, where he red-shirted his first year in 2000 and later was a wide receiver, totalling 46 receptions for 614 yards, and played on special teams for the Cardinal. He earned Academic All-Pac 10 honors for three years, graduating with a degree in engineering.

I've seen his numbers and have gotten a little excited about his potential after reading these postings...but can someone tell me about his game? Is there anything about the way he plays that makes him look like a good target this season for Pennington, or even Henne for that matter? I just haven't seen him in action this season.

I haven't seen much of him and a I'm not a Miami homer but from what I have seen it looks like he runs the majority of the short, possession-type routes which are the only routes Pennington can throw at this point.
