So last night I got an email from footballguys that states Gronk is to have surgery today. I find this news nowhere else. Is this true?

New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski (knee) will have surgery to repair the anterior cruciate ligament and medial collateral ligament in his knee Thursday, Jan. 9.

This makes the eighth surgical procedure Gronkowski has had during his career. The team is expecting him to be ready for the start of the season, but his availability for the start of training camp is up in the air.
