Gronkowski (1 Viewer)

Any thoughts on his remaining career longevity?  Is this a good time to sell or do you see him having at least 3-4 more elite fantasy years left?

I would be looking to trade him for any decent return. I think he is done being elite and may be done totally very soon. 3 back surgeries is a lot.

Tough to say what to do with him until you start getting any offers to look at.  I put him on the trade bait list in a zealot league and got zero inquiries.  It was at a dead time and I might try again soon as our free agency starts up but if people are perceiving his value to be down too much then he becomes a hold if you are competing for titles.

I prefer the Gronk side.  In this offer you are moving Gronk for Bryant who may also be moving to the tail end of elite status.  Hill for a 2018 first is probably fair.  2.10 for Bennett is roughly fair.  Overall I don't think you are getting younger by moving Gronk you are just moving the pieces around and no longer have the guy that has been the clear top TE for several seasons.

If it is return yardage league or even TE heavy then the Gronk side. If not then the Dez side easy. I bet most leagues guys wouldn't even give up Dez for Gronk straight up. His inuries are numerous and bad. Also there is a lot of recency bias.

Not the time to shop gronk imo. His value is way down. That's not a bad offer for depressed value, but if he's healthy and dominant he is the no 1 difference maker in ffl.

Don't move Gronk now.  You would be selling low.  I think he has a resurgence in 2017 and with the poop sandwich that is the TE universe he could easily again be the #1 TE by a big margin the next 2 to 3 seasons.

There is risk of course that further injuries end his career prematurely, but I would gamble on him having a big 2017 and then perhaps look to move him.

I think Gronk will continue to put up elite numbers.........when he is on the field.  I also don't think he plays 16 games in a season again.  He will always miss some games each year.     I agree that this is a terrible time to try and sell and you will be much better off waiting until he plays a few games and then his price will sky rocket again.  I wait until then and try and sell at that time.
