Typically if a groom suffers a medical emergency the day of his wedding, the event is postponed. But one Indian bride was so determined to make sure her ceremony went forward that she married a wedding guest in her groom's absence.

Jugal Kishore, 25, had to be rushed to a hospital in India after suffering an epileptic seizure, the Times of India reports. But when Kishore recovered and returned to the wedding venue, he was dismayed to find his 23-year-old bride named Indira had already found another beau, the Times of India reports.

Indira and her family had reportedly been upset that they were kept in the dark regarding her groom's medical condition, and promptly announced that she would happily marry a guest at the wedding after Kinshore fell ill. That guest turned out to be a man named Harpal Singh, the brother-in-law of Indira's sister.

According to the the Times of India, Singh was caught off guard, but declared that he would take Indira as his wife. When Kishore arrived back at the venue, he and other guests pleaded with bride to reconsider, with violence breaking out as dishes and silverware were thrown across the venue. However, the bride stood firm in her decision.

Kishore's family went to the police to file a complaint, which they eventually dropped after elders intervened. ""Both families have amicably resolved the matter," Officer Solanki, a member with an Indian police unit, said. "The complaints have been withdrawn. Kishore and his family have now returned in peace to Moradabad, (India.)"

Not that shocking considering the arranged marriages they have over there. I had an employee that worked for me from India come in one day and tell me he's getting married - that's he going to met her for the first time 3 weeks before they get married. I didn't know what to say to the guy other than good luck.

I know an Indian guy here who is in an arranged marriage. He's an ### and she's nice enough, but they despise each other and sleep in different rooms. Oh, also she's pregnant now - gotta keep the elders happy!

same thing here. And for my stereo typical racist response. People from India fall into 2 categories that I've worked with. Complete jerk offs or the nicest person I've ever met.

My best friend all through school got an arranged marriage when he was 27.

His wife is smoking hot, I tell him he is a lucky SOB.

They now have four kids and seem very happy.

Fake a seizure... why didn't I think of this in '84. ####
You can still fake your death.
go on...
First you need dental pliers, a cadaver and gasoline....
Two of those are easy enough but I don't know if I'll be able to find dental pliers around here. Amazon maybe.
I would have thought the gasoline would be the problem.PM dentist for help

May as well PM shuke too for the hell of it
