Not that shocking considering the arranged marriages they have over there. I had an employee that worked for me from India come in one day and tell me he's getting married - that's he going to met her for the first time 3 weeks before they get married. I didn't know what to say to the guy other than good luck.

I was a groomsman in an indian wedding a year or so ago. Massive 3 day long affair. Easily into 6 figures were spent and dozens of folks had flown in from India for the event. I suppose once you've spent all that money.... 
This was not an arranged marriage and was paid for by the groom's family, who was marrying an half asian girl.
