Guard Cat: Real. American. Hero. (video) (1 Viewer)

Awesome. That cat wasted no time...he came out of nowhere and hit that dog in literally 2 seconds.

COTY

Seen this earlier, WTF @ the mom just running away leaving the kid to pick himself up and run away by himself lol

Nice technique. Didn't lead with the head, good shoulder to shoulder hit, swung the body the deliver the knockdown.

Textbook.

That dog should also be put down
I love dogs, and not a big fan of cats, but I agree. Why would a dog just do that though? It didn't look like the kid hit him or even yelled at him, the dog just noticed him and tried to take off with his leg. Bad ownership / upbringing I guess?

The dog was hunting IMO. The grab near the achilles tendon is a way to disable prey. Not sure why he'd behave that way and it is probably the owners fault but you just can't let a dog like that continue.

had a similar situation when I was younger . we just got a puppy and had it on the leash in the front yard when a neighbor was walking by with a big dog that the owner could barely control. bigdog started darting towards the pupp and the owner was struggling to hold her ground. my cat came out of nowhere and started jabbing away at cujo and he turned into the cowardly lion tucked his tail and ran

I love dogs but if I had one that did something like this I would put it down.
get its ### kicked by a cat?
Well there is that but it would be more about the attack on the human.
oh yeah, that too.

I walk my dog twice a day and it amazes me how often people think its acceptable to have their dogs loose out front. I almost always turn around when I see a loose dog. They are way too unpredictable.

We don't know the full story. It's very likely the kid deserved it.

Well as Clint said " We all have it coming".

It was a service dog that lost it's long-time elderly owner the day before.

:goodposting: The dog's owner should be found and fined. If it was mine, I'd Old Yeller it.
From what I saw the dog got out of the owner's backyard when the owner was backing his car out of a gated driveway.

Bottom line is there is no reason to own a dog that will attack people without any kind of provocation. Sadly there are a lot of people around these parts (even in good neighborhoods) that think it's nifty to own tough/aggressive/dangerous dogs.

Used to carry a collapsible baton when running in case I didn't see the dog first...

I'm not a big fan of teh cat, but that was great. The best of everything for that hero. For ALL 9 lives.

I have a cat who is nearly 20 pounds and extremely aggressive and territorial. He has twice attacked my MIL's 75 pound lab and left him bloody and whimpering and afraid to come out of my utility room. He attacks any animal that comes near our house. I fear a raccoon or coyote will wander in and he will finally meet his match, but his sheer aggressiveness means he's won against everything he's encountered so far. Having seen my cat in action I am not surprised to see this kitty go after that dog and do some ###-whooping. Cats are amazingly fast.

Tara (more like 'Terror' amirite?) is a grey/mackerel tabby. Not a surprise since those are the best cats period.
I had one of these growing up and she was the most badass cat in the world. Weighed only 8 lbs, but owned our neighborhood. She would get in fights with other cats and our 45lb dog was in fear of her. Broke her tail having it slammed in a door, was shot by our ##### kid neighbor with a pellet gun (he paralyzed another one of our cats --- born to this awesome cat -- f'er) and missed being paralyzed by an 1/8th of an inch, had 3 kittens - one black, one white and one striped, looked both ways before crossing the street, lived to 19 and then asked to be let out one day and never came back...totally on her terms. I miss that lady...she slept on my bed all throughout my childhood.
