Guy caught cheating in death (1 Viewer)

OK, so the texting wife thread and its spin-off Pandora's box question reminded my of a situation I encountered a couple years ago...

This guy dies in his early forties. He is already predeceased by two brothers and two wives. Let's blame it on life style.

For full disclosure, his second wife was an old girl friend of mine. This was a very long time ago when we were both teenagers.

So, I see his obituary online. The funeral home is with the times and has done it up including pictures of the deceased, candles, etc. To be honest, I find online mortuary stuff strange and could do without it...

As many sites (and even newspapers) do... they don't post a current picture of him but use a shot from his early twenties labeled "Dave & his first wife"... problem is... it isn't actually the first wife but the second, who he didn't marry until a couple years before his death.

The woman he was married to at the time of the photo is dead - so no issue there... but this must have been a controversial issue for his family/friends and the family of the first/second wives.

Anybody else "outed" in a bizarre manner?

Sounds like he was two timing with the future second wife while still married to the first wife. Somehow the funeral home accidentally got a clandestine photo and mislabeled it and published it online.

That's pretty much it... Outed at your own funeral.

ETA: by the undertaker...

Early forties and predecessor by TWO wives? Either he's pretty unlucky or there's something odd about that. Now it comes out that he was cheating on his first wife when she died? This is like a 48 Hours episode.

Grandmother was a bit of a trophy wife.

Had my father young, got divorced from his father.

When she remarried, it was to a president of a bank who was about 20 years her senior. After a year or two, she caught new husband cheating. She threatened to leave, he told her the cheating was over, they reconciled and lived a happy life together.

When the bank president husband died, and the lawyer gathered everyone needed for the reading of the will, for some reason the girlfriend from, what was assumed, many years ago was there.

Because he left her the house he and my grandmother lived in for 25 years.

If women didn't stop performing oral after taking their vows things like this wouldn't happen.

When I go, I want a busload of strange women showing up at the wake to cause a scene. I might even hire actresses.
A friend always talks about his uncle Chester. When he died, 3 women he was seeing showed up to his funeral. He also owed them all money.

That's wild.

Sorry for such a morbid topic... but I wasn't thinking just about death but technology...

This guy got outed 20 years later because of the Internet... The texting wife is another example. You would think surveillance systems.. hell, even a Jumbotron or TV have done people in...

Don't get me wrong... I loved your response... absolutely shocking and completely in line with the death theme.

ETA: I promise to work on my writing skills.
