As many of us know, The first NFL preseason game starts tonight 8pm ET between the Tennessee Titans and Buffalo Bills.

I'm wondering who are some players (offense?) that I/we should keep our eyes open for. I'm personally looking for some unknowns but T.O. might be someone I keep track of.

I'm definitely keeping my eyes on Jared Cook.

i assume the 1st string will play 1-2 series? Lynch can play right?

i'm interested to see how "light" Landwhale looks

Looking for what impact not having Haynesworth has on the Titans Dline and how the Bills Oline plays.

Good mention of the Titans D-line and the Bills O-line.

Other items:

-How Vince Young plays for the quarter and a half he's in the lineup.

-The Bills TE play. If Schouman or Nelson can perform well, this offense could be a great value.

-Javon Ringer - will his play in camp translate to the field? Does have have future as more than a No.3 RB

-How much quicker does LenDale White look?

-Jared Cook's impressive camp...does it translate to the field of play? If so, how are the Titans using him?

-Xavier Omon, the No.3 RB. Can he take the next step. If so, then he could take the Derrick Ward track in a year or two. If not, he's someone to drop from the deep dynasty radar.

- Ringer to take over after White's salary is up after next year? Titan's have a log jam at RB. Not a bad problem to have.- Think the Bill's rid themselves of Lynch after all his off-field troubles if Omon can perform well?

Jared Cook. I said this in another thread. He is going to be a top 10 TE this yr and I bet you Dynasty leaguers will be falling all over yourselves trying to get him after you see him in pre-season.

Buffalo: Trent Edwards, Fred Jackson, T.O, Shawn Nelson, Special Teams (Return Game)

Tennessee: Vince Young, Nate Washington, Jared Cook, LenDale White, Rush Def

Here's my thoughts of what to look for:

For Buffalo, I think everyone wants to see a tough hardnosed offensive line like they usually have. Peters' departure has been overstated since he missed a bunch of time. A bad offensive line can minimize any good that dis Cecil's son( :X ) or TO can bring to the team. The Titans DL could destroy them tonight and it probably is premature to write them off. Both teams should have some rust to shake off.

The Titans OL is fantastic and I'm sure Bills fans want to see how their DL will stack up.

The Titans had 3 of 4 starters in their secondary make the pro bowl last year. This is probably the Bills WRs biggest test this summer.

The Bills are expected to start Fred Jackson and mix in some Dominic Rhodes while Lynch is suspended. Jackson needs to keep his edge on Rhodes for FFers to feel comfy about starting him weeks 1-3.

The Titans have two former first round picks as a backup QB and generally only keep two on the active roster. That means Kerry and either Vince or Ramsey. (Fisher probably won't cut both if they play great....grain of salt) Ramsey knows the offense better from his time with Heimerdinger in Denver, but (sadly) Vince spent quite some time with McNair discussing Heimerdinger's O and just general NFL QB questions. Part of Vince's whining is that he's put in a ton of work and preparation and is (in his mind) ready to start. Many fans want to see the considerable improvement that should come from that. Ramsey was a once talented prospect many liked and he's fighting for his career really. Which plays better and/or which plays bad, could be a big deal.

From what I hear, Kenny Britt won't be a big success this year unless he steps it up. MANY rookie WRs struggle early in camp and "get it" by the time the season starts but generally if they struggle this early they're still a ways off. I think fans want to see whether he struggles or does well to form their own guess as to whether he'll make an impact in 09.

Nate Washington and a healthy Justin Gage.

Paul Williams was a terrific athlete and an extremely raw prospect. He is in his make or break preseason. He's probably cut but...well let's hope we're surprised how good he's become.

I think last year's rook, Lavelle Hawkins, is the Titans slot WR if Britt isn't ready. He moves laterally so well, he's so shifty.

Jared Cook out blocking for Chris Johnson. They want to get his speed out in front of Johnson and don't think many teams can match it. They believe CJ was a block away from breaking a run for a TD too many times last year. From there(from there, don't expect catching passes to be his primary job til he blocks well) they want to get Cook matched up on a slower LB catching passes.

In just 12-16 hours, many like the idea of Scaife to Philly(although what would the Titans get) and that's not happening unless Cook does well.

Titans have a terrific backfield and there's some battles there as they go 5 deep. I wouldn't be surprised if one gets traded this preseason.

Jason Jones is expected to bounce along the DL and last year's rook William Hayes is expected to see alot more work this year. Their young DL could spell the end for Jevon Kearse. Kyle Vandenbosch was hurt more often than he played in 2008. Without Haynesworth, they need him to be the star attracting the Ds attention. He can't do that if he's hurt. Jones had 3.5 sacks and 3 forced fumbles in one game last year. I think every IDPer wants to know if he's a superstar or not.

This is interesting. The knock on Cook coming in was his blocking, but I can see where his ability to get downfield quickly and block DBs could be a huge asset to Johnson.

I'm looking to see if the Bills show any of thier no huddle offense tonight with Trent. I want to see if the Bills starting O-line can handle the Titans starting D-line while they are both in there.

I'm also excited to see how Vince plays. I'm kinda rooting for the guy (just not tonight against the Bills).

For the Bills,At TE, Royal is gone so the starting job competition is wide open. Schouman, Fine, and Nelson are definitely players to watch. Nelson is clearly the eventual starter, but he's behind the other two for now.Omon is 4th string with the addition of Rhodes and he's probably in a battle with Bruce Hall for a roster spot while Lynch serves his suspension.at WR, obviously most people want to see TO and how Edwards works with both him and Evans. Steve Johnson sounds like he could play after missing time with a rib injury and is a definite player to watch. WR Shaine Smith was only signed a couple weeks ago and has been getting a lot of positive buzz.offensive line is a huge key, especially all the young guys and/or players at new positions.offense has been far too conservative in the past. will be interesting to see how often they use the no-huddle offense and whether the coaches are willing to take some more chances as well.Ryan Fitzpatrick is the new #2 QB, and Edwards hasn't been very durable so there's a good chance he plays this year.

You guys want the deepest of deep sleepers for tonight?

Chris Henry, RB, Tennessee

We've always known he had the physical tools, he just sucked at running the ball. He has been extremely impressive in camp.

I wouldn't rush to draft him just yet (unless you are in a very deep dynasty league)...but keep an eye on him through the playoffs.

There are very few RB's in the entire NFL who have his package of speed and power. Also remember that Reinfeldt (Titans GM) didn't draft Lendale, he drafted Henry...

Henry has never been one to show much of anything in practice in the 2 years he's been on the team..The fact that he's looking so good in camp is a shock to the Titans, and I honestly doubt that Fisher and the front office quite expected it.

Just an fyi...

Amen to that!!
Ryan Fitzpatrick is the new #2 QB, and Edwards hasn't been very durable so there's a good chance he plays this year.
Hopefully he plays and sucks so bad the Bills cut him because if we have to rely on him this year we're toast.

And then signs Griese!I think he would be the perfect #2 in Buffalo behind a young Edwards.

I don't remember the last time the Bills had a "tough hardnosed offensive line". This unit has the potential to develop into that type of line, but they are probably a long ways away right now.

Harvard's not that bad. He's not that good, but he's not that bad...

Im excited to see Vince Young aka. That Crazy Guy.. Wonder what planet he will be on today. Making claims that he's a HOF-er. He's useless to me.
He certainly doesn't have much to offer, unless you want to count the turnovers he offers up to opponents. Of course, he'll be facing 2nd- and 3rd-teamers tonight, so we'll see. In any case, I fully expect Ramsey to outshine him tonight. Shouldn't be hard.

I am sure some 3rd stringer will show up today and then the hype machine will make him vaunt into a stud super sleeper that everyone will draft in the 6th round.... preseason is garbage. Just enjoy because it is football but do not read anything into it from a FF purpose.

I have to say.. those retro Bills uniforms/Helmets are really NICE !

Oilers uniforms not to bad either.
