Ugh, no kidding.

There has been a string of horrific game releases this year. We're talking just plain broken *** ****. AC Unity, Driveclub, Halo MCC. It makes me really worry for the Witcher coming out this winter. Please, PLEASE make that one functional!!

 
For you guys having issues it may be worth considering doing a hard restart of your console. I know nothing of how this problem happens for Halo, but in the past I have had decent to spotty connections and had trouble playing games online. If you have the system set to always on mode instead of power saving mode, your router can sometimes get wonked out by the consoles staying idle while in its hibernation state. When you do a hard reset, by holding down the power button for 10 seconds or changing the always on to power saver mode, it can sometimes fix a bad connection that may be causing matchmaking issues. If use power saver mode already, ignore this.

My buddy says every launch since he got the XB1 has been awful and that 2k is still bad.

Gonna try a hard reset tonight when I get home from work. Right now all I am doing is unplugging the machine, but perhaps that is not the same thing.

Patch delayed. Sat in matchmaking for 10 minutes last night without getting a single other person in the lobby.

Switched over to COD and was in a game within 30 seconds. 343 better get this fixed soon.

I'll try to be on for an hour or so. Have a 515 am flight tomorrow but would like to play some games with people who actually use their mics

If you don't get a game in less than 3 minutes you need to exit out and search again. Don't let it sit there and keep chugging away.

 
Okay I've got at least five of us confirmed tonight. Not counting all my xbl friends that are always down to play. Should have some good 4v4 games.

 
Been enjoying custom games while waiting for matchmaking to get fixed.

Is there any way to change teams during custom games though? It seems to assign the teams randomly when you join someone's lobby and we haven't been able to figure out how to re-arrange them.

 
Worked for me last night, tried out both Halo 2 anniversary and Classic. However, Halo 2 classic was pretty glitchy and choppy overall and not once did we have balanced teams. But at least it worked. I had a few decent games in Halo 2 Anniversary but I am really terrible at Halo Classic. I don't know what it is - maybe a lack of aim assist with the older engine (?) - but I didn't feel like many of my headshots were registering in that game. Anniversary's hit detection felt similar to Halo 3 so didn't have much issues there (other than not knowing some maps and being godawful without the BR).

I'm the complete opposite. I top the leaderboard on most H2C games but on H2A I struggle. I did play Halo 2 for 3 years though.

Feels like there is no aim assist on H2A.

 
I was able to kick people from matchmade games, end a game while my team was winning, party split all but one time and after about the fourth game we were unable to find and start a game.

 
I've heard a lot of people say matchmaking may be fixed now. Is it working for you guys? I'm out of town for another week. Of course.
