Scott Fowler, of the Charlotte Observer, reports Carolina Panthers WR Steve Smith (hamstring) dropped three passes during the team's Week 5 win over the Cleveland Browns. Smith also struggled to catch up to a deep pass thrown by QB Jake Delhomme in the fourth quarter. Smith got a jump on the deep route from his own 35-yard line and Delhomme heaved it Smith's way. Smith turned on a burst of speed and was unable to catch up to the ball. "He generally can't overthrow me," said Smith.
