Let's say every starter ahead of these 10 RBs went down this week. How would you rank this group forward?

(Alphabetical)

Bush - OAK

Choice - DAL

Greene - NYJ

Hightower - ARI

McGahee - BAL

Ringer - TEN

Scott - CIN

Snelling - ATL

Spiller - BUF

Ward - HOU

added...

Dixon - SF

Jacobs - NYG

Smith - DET

Williams - MIA

Gerhart - MIN

Feel free to add to the list.

That's too many names for me to sort through (sorry), but as a Jahvid Best owner, I think you need to add Kevin Smith's name to the mix. Best is a sub 200lb RB that's been beat up all season and is averaging just 3.2 yards/carry. I wouldn't be shocked if Best goes down one of these weeks or possibly even gets "Thomas Jones'd" down the stretch if things don't improve.

What about Ricky Williams? Doesn't he make the list? What about Brandon Jacobs? Both of these guys I see as valuable handcuffs

I don't think those guys are really considered "handcuffs" like the other guys listed, since they are already in a "timeshare" with the starter. Sure, their value would shoot up if Brown or Bradshaw got hurt, but they are already pretty valuable in their own right and are unlikely to be available in most leagues.

This is exactly why Shonn Greene looked out of place to me, in the original post.

Which is also why I dont understand how Greene didnt top most lists.

Geez, okay... then look at it this way:Who would have the most upside if they took over the starting role outright. (be it injury or outplaying)

IMO, Snelling is the only guy on the list who would be a sure fantasy starter if the RB1 ahead of him went down.

Greene, M Bush, Ringer, & Ward would be RB2s based on matchups. The other guys would be flex options/bench depth.
