Ravens coach John Harbaugh on Terrell Owens: 'We're interested in T.O.'
INDIANAPOLIS -- Might the Baltimore Ravens finally close the deal with WR Terrell Owens?
Remember, the 49ers tried to trade Owens to the Ravens after the 2003 season before T.O. ultimately forced a deal with the Eagles instead.
After his year in Buffalo, Owens is now set to hit the free-agent market, and the Ravens are a team in need of receiving help.
"We're interested in T.O. -- we're interested in all the guys who can make us better," Ravens coach John Harbaugh said at the scouting combine Saturday.
Harbaugh knows Owens from their days with the Eagles. And his team could use help at wideout with leading receiver Derrick Mason also headed for free agency.
"I think he's a good guy and a good player," said Harbaugh, while admitting the Ravens have watched tape of Owens' 2009 season and thought he was more effective than maybe he's gotten credit for despite his limited production (55 catches, 829 yards, 5 TDs) with the Bills.
On a different note, Harbaugh doesn't believe he has a need at safety despite Ed Reed's hints that he might retire after an injury-filled season.
"Ed Reed's playing as far as I know," said Harbaugh. "Medically, we don't have any reason to think he's not going to." -- Nate Davis

It would be a much better move in my opinion. If Antonio is healthy he is a much better WR than TO at this point in their careers and you don't have to worry about the media circus.
Flacco throws a decent deep ball/ Just no one catches it. Having flyered Demetrius Williams and Mark Clayton for too many painful seasons I would eat TO up in the third round and call it a steal as he could easily post top 5 numbers. With their power running game TO would eat up the play action game in that offense (as well as improve their WR blocking).
