Last thing i seen was Adam Shefter(sp) from the nfl network say that Portis would likely miss week 1. Then the next day HC Joe Gibbs said that Portis would start week 1. This was all a full week ago, any "new" news. ???

Well if Shefter says it, then that's good enough for me. What the hell does Gibbs know anyway? I would say Portis is a "likely" start for week 1. At least you've got a week to figure this one out.

This has made me laugh but I do have a serious question if I may ask....

Was Duckett running at #4 last night? I saw a boxscore of 3 carries but did not know if he played a bit and they pulled him to keep him healthy figuring they would need him to play a lot at the start of the season but with what I was reading here it sounds like he may not be ready to contribute a lot right away anyway.

Any info?

He was #3 last night (after Betts and Cartwright). If you include Portis, he's #4 right now.

So lends me to think that Portis should be ready week #1. Duckett does not a lot of work because he has all the 3rd and 1 and 4th and 1 and goal line plays down. Duckett owner here feeling pretty sure Portis looks on track to play week #1. Just my thoughts.
