Don't know if this is a :honda: or not, but anyhoo,

NFL Network's Adam Shefter reports that Matt Hasselbeck has a serious left shoulder injury.

While Hasselbeck is awaiting MRI results, Shefter believes that Hasselbeck may have a torn labrum. That could knock him out for at least six months, although Seattle reportedly isn't too concerned because it's Hasselbeck's non-throwing shoulder. The News Tribune confirmed the news Tuesday night, saying Hasselbeck was seeking a second opinion but would probably undergo surgery. Jan. 16 - 7:20 pm et

Six Months? Hell no on a non throwing shoulder. That's BS. Of course that would take us to July and since he could still work out who the hell really cares? He'll miss minicamp and probably a few strippers and that's it.

Man... this shows even more how banged up the Seahens were. I'm not big on injury excuses (good teams are deep), but man ... this team was never right... SA rushing back with the foot, Hass, that whole secondary with Home Depot fill-ins. Yeah, it's the NFC West, but hey, they beat the Cowboys, and came close with the #1 seed.

Seattle will be back next year, 11 wins easy. Hass will be a bargain in drafts.

Hasselbeck undergoes surgery

QB Matt Hasselbeck decided to have his shoulder surgery in Alabama today. He was down there yesterday for a second opinion from Dr. James Andrews. The surgery is now complete, according to a source who would know. That's about all I've got right now. I'm not sure what the timetable for rehabilitation will be, but he wasted little time in getting this thing done. To review, Hasselbeck suffered a torn labrum in his left shoulder during a January 2004 playoff game at Green Bay. The injury was bothering him more and more, apparently, and doctors recommended surgery. The assumption is that he'll be back for training camp, but we really do not have anything definitive. UPDATE: The team is confirming this.

Am I the only guy that thinks Matt Hasselbeck is extremely overated as an NFL qb?
:banned:
Guy has a down year and is injured and now he's over-rated? Give me a break. What were you saying during his 24/9 season last year when he took them to the SB? If anything Hasselbeck is still under-rated.

Hasselbeck is a very good, underrated QB. He had an off year this year but when he's in rythm, he's one of the toughest QB's to stop. He's also a good leader.

In all the years with record drops from receivers he never once threw any or all the WRs under the bus. He is the first to take blame and that's where it starts and ends for him. He seemed to regress this year but the entire team suffered through injury and inconsistency and is the exception, not the norm. I don't think he's under or over rated. He became my favorite Seahawks QB with, of all things, his OT coin flip.

I probably didnt say too much. Who would listen? However take away last year and the guy is 1-3 in the postseason with 5tds, 5 Ints. Not to mention we want the ball and we are gonna score...for the other team. He is 31 years old and has only been in the top ten for yards twice, and for TDs 3 times. With one of each of those being tenth. He has played behind a great offensive line and has always had good weapons on offense. His career completion % is just above 60 and that is boosted by his 65.5% last year.I am not saying I think he is a bad QB, dont get me wrong here. I just think he is a bit overrated. I am sure having a total TD beast like alexander has hurt his numbers a bit, but I feel like he should be doing better with the weapons he has around him. I also feel Seattle should have been doing better. They went 7-5 this year with him and they won the 2 games after he came back from his injury, so you cant say he was rusty. They should have been better than a 7-5 team with/without alexander with Branch, Burleson, Hackett, Stevens, Djax(although not healthy all year), and engram(againnot healthy all year). His numbers are incredibly simialr to seneca wallace's this year. Just my 2 cents.
