Hasselbeck (1 Viewer)

Hasselbeck appears set for a big season. He now has a legit #1 WR, a solid #2 WR, and appears to be fully healthy again. The Rams defense is awful, and they are playing in Seattle.

This looks like a great matchup for Hass.

280 and 2 tds

Strongly considering him over Schaub this week.

Anyone else rolling with Hass? If so who are you starting him over?

I will consider starting him over Cutler and Schaub in 2 different leagues.

I don't really have any good bachups, so i am stiching with him. hopefully he plays a hech of a lot better than last season.

I think he's severely underrated this season. What's wrong with your 'K' key?

I agree he's underrated. Along with Garrard & Palmer, those are the guys I've targeted. For his "K" key - read the OP again to alleviate

Those bach problems can be trichy. Considering Matthew over Tony Romo. I'm not sure Romo throws 2 TD's at TB whereas Hasselbeck is practically a lock to do so.

Seahawks | Houshmandzadeh misses practice Monday Tue Sep 8, 12:56 AM

Danny O'Neil, of The Seattle Times, reports Seattle Seahawks WR T.J. Houshmandzadeh (undisclosed) missed the team's practice Monday, Sept. 7. He did not practice last week or dress for the team's preseason finale. Head coach Jim Mora said last week that general soreness was the reason for Houshmandzadeh's absence.

Seahawks | Branch unable to finish practice Monday Tue Sep 8, 12:55 AM

Danny O'Neil, of The Seattle Times, reports Seattle Seahawks WR Deion Branch (undisclosed) was unable to finish practice Monday, Sept. 7, but indicated afterward he was fine and it wasn't any more than regular soreness.

I'm beginning to feel a bit of Deja vu all over again wrt the Seattle receiving corps (or corpse as the case may be)…?

also noted in the article was an already banged up line...C Chris Spencer (quad), LT Walter Jones (knee)

Haha, my bad... I thought I was replying to the OP.

I have McNabb, Romo and Hasselbeck.

I need to start two.....

Tough choice, I think I'm sitting Romo.

Pretty sure I'm gonna start Hass over Cutler (I also own Garrard, but Indy pass D has been pretty good in recent years, & I won't willingly start a QB against them until they appear weaker in that regard). My opponent owns TJH, however, so I have a feeling any joy I'd get from aHass TD pass will be offset by the fact it goes to TJH

I'll be starting him over Matt Ryan. Within the last few years I have trouble not starting someone playing STL. I'm also starting the Seattle defense against them.

I am starting him over a gimpy Schaub
The more I think about it, the more I'm leaning this way. I'd hate to see Schaub jog toward the sidelines again and reinjure that ankle. Maybe I will give him a week to see how he looks, and since Hasselbeck has a great matchup anyway it makes it easy.

He's my #1 QB so its not a tough decision for me. But the matchup does look great for those on the fence about starting him.

I looked up Hass's last 3 games vs StL....not that impressive.

172 yds 1 td 0 int

249 yds 1 td 1 int

195 yds 2 td 1 int

One good game out of three. It looks like Seattle gets up big and doesn't need to throw any in the 2nd half. This probably won't change much.

Just throwing it out there. Might not be as good it first looked.

He's in over Edwards, not a tough choice.
Same here. And yes, I know my QB's suck. In a dynasty/salary cap league things need to be sacrificed and this year it was Peyton or MJD. I figured I could get another QB but that has not been the case. HAss and Edwards? :bag:

Was leaning Hass instead of Cutler, but I'm playing perhaps the best team in our league this week, and I view it as Cutler having more upside (POTENTIAL for shoot-out), Hass being the "safer" play. Since it looks like I'll need to put up serious pts to win, I'll likely chance it w/ Cutler

Struggling with this one, but still leaning Schaub over Hass. Seattle more likely to get a lead and get safe. Jets have suspensions and other issues on defense and are on the road. Who knows.

Not starting him over Warner or McNabb. Week one is too soon to start benching the guy you drafted first because of match-up assumptions.

No, I think you're good.

ETA- Assume you know that the Jets D is without S Ellis and C Pace this week?

Starting him over Cutler and Cassel.

QBBC means you play the best matchup.

Hass is a great QBBC play- St Louis and the Niners twice.

Cassel has the Raiders and Broncos twice.

Cutler gets the Lions twice.

That's a nice system. Three QB's with 6 cake games. Question though. Is Cassel going to be healthy for week two against the the Raiders? Is his line going to be be all of the sudden good that week? Also do you play week 17 when Cutler plays the Lions the second time? I'm just askin :sadbanana:
