Boldin and Fitz and 1 and 2 right now, in standard scoring at least. Maybe Moss and Carter in 98? I'm guessing Carter was around 5th or so though.

Closest I can find is 1999 when Moss & Carter were 2 & 3 in standard scoring. Harrison was #1 that year by a wide margin.

In 2000 Holt and Bruce were 6th and 7th. In 1998 Owens was 3rd and Rice was 8th.

Not sure if they were 1 & 2 that year but Mark Clayton and Mark Duper in Marino's record setting 48 td year in 1984.

Clayton: 73 rec, 1389 yards, 19 ypc, 18 td's :pickle:

Duper: 71 rec, 1306 yards, 18.4 ypc, 8 td's

That's gotta be up there.

Another not 1&2, but damn good:

in 2001 Jerry Rice and Tim Brown finished 9/10

91/1165/9

83/1139/9

In 2004; Harrison was 5th, Wayne 8th and Stokely 11th.

(Its crazy to see who the top 3 were)

In the "wow, I forgot that" department, Eric Moulds was #4 and Peerless Price was #7 in 2002, with Drew Bledsoe throwing them the ball.

Real interesting one I found looking at this:

1980 #1 in receiving yards was John Jefferson of San Diego Chargers. #2 in yards was Kellen Winslow Sr. of San Diego Chargers. #4 was Charlie Joyner of San Diego Chargers. All had over 1100 yards and John Jefferson was #1 in TD reception.

Their QB, Dan Fouts. What a year you could have had with this guy on your roster.

Fouts only outscored the #2 QB (Brian Sipe) by 5 points--partly because he threw 24 INTs to his 30 TDs.The guys to have that year were Billy Simms (1924 total yards, 16 TD) and Earl Campbell (1981 total yards, 13 TD).

Wow, Fouts led in that category too, missed that. :lmao: Funny to see Bradshaw and Stabler also on that top 10 list for interceptions that year.Coming back to the topic at hand, I had forgotten about the combination of Jimmy Smith and Keenan McCardell as well, they were close in being top fantasy receivers together. They never quite got there, of course.
