Now that we are at the 1/2 way point for the regular season, confidence is starting to build in our team. . .weather its good or bad confidence, we are starting to get an expectation of what our teams will do from here on out.
Some team have found that they are weak in some areas and stronger in others. Some teams have found themselves Strong across the board, or some others are just hoping to still get their first win. Some teams are over stacked at a position. . .only needing 2 starting RB and having 3 or 4 top 15. . . .needing 3 wr and having 5 top 20 rb. . . .but still lacking a top 10 QB. . . .
So what’s more important. . .having the depth and being able to shake off an injury, or dropping some of that weight and stacking a top tier starting squad?
I know some of this has to do with your individual squad, as well as position. . . .but it’s a tough call.
Having 3 #1 RB’s (2nd tier) is really nice to have as depth. . . .but trading one of those RB’s to upgrade from Alex Smith/ David Carr to a C. Palmer/M. Bulger it a tempting move, but your only increasing your QB score by a marginal score since QB score within a close margin after Peyton & Donovan
It could be a move to grab Holt? But what if you already have a #1 and 2 solid #2’s? Essentially your only increasing from a #2 to a #1, but you just gave up a #1 RB for a player that will never see your bench if you are to win the league.
Trade Dominator looks at the raw data and gives you a value based on an injury-less season. . . .I know you can’t predict injury, but isn’t that why we all own car insurance? But what if we could buy a tank? Sure it could still break down, but think of the teams you could blow through if it doesn’t.
So I that’s my thoughts. . . .not much for answers. . .but it’s a conundrum that I have been wrestling with for the past 2 weeks. . .knowing that the trade deadlines are approaching.
